I’m running GeForce Now and there’s is a way to get exiled exchange to work. It’s a little fiddly to set up but once it’s set it works like a charm

There’re couple of threads on this sub, I believe, and a GitHub page. Simple google search will do the job. Basically the workaround is that the app is using open permission google docs to paste the gear details within steams browser that runs on cloud machine that syncs to your local one. I’m using it on PC, not sure about the Mac if that’s what you’re after

I use the phone app that checks Poe trade (App is Exile Companion) as a console user. I also use the website to manually check things because 90% of the stat filters don’t exist on the console market for some dumbass reason

I mean, just change the keybinds? Console players dont have the luxury of tons of buttons. And yes, there isnt that many buttons for us either that is efficient to use in action on the keyboard, but it definitely is more than on a controller

You can’t change the keybinds to not be the same button xdd.

You’re also not allowed to rebind shift for inventory management stuff, which annoyed me enough that now I have a script running all the time to rebind & disable sprint.

Neither did i specifically call out async trading, nor did i specifically say that everything the community wants would be bad in the long run. Just saying that it’s ridiculous to say that PoE only gained a “strong online economy” through async trade when we had one in PoE for a decade beforehand.

They talk about this in every other Q&A, but it kinda boils down to what it would incentivize. If they implement a loot filter system in-game, then it’s borderline implied that the player needs to make use of it.
That and loot filters are often used in PoE out of necessity, not for specific use cases, so they try work on improving the baseline, and not the bandaid fix.

wtf is this logic about the filter - they have loot filter functionality but they don’t want people to use it?? again 10 years old game and if they still didn’t come up with “improved the baseline” and this “bandaid fix” is still active and people once again making 3rd party apps to make the game more user friendly - than mb the bandaid fix is not a bandaid fix and just need to be fully implemented like LE did from 1.0 with built in loot filter making tools

I hope it’s in the cards. The ingame trade is only a couple of seasons old, so it makes sense they add more functionality to it.

For console players it would be so huge. I would wager the most mispriced items happen on console, cause we don’t have the patience to pull out our phone and input every mod for every item we put up for sale

what is stopping them is most likely that they have to do a bunch of cleanup+refactoring. i’ve written my own tool because i don’t trust 3rd party software mostly and i can tell you there is a lot of shit happening around modifiers even if you just focus on making it work with english. GGG should either invest the time and do it, or make it easier for developers.

for example there are things like “x has decreased blabla”, but the modifier that maps to that is called “x’s has increased blabla”. It’s so frustrating to write software around that…

This is more difficult than you think. You can’t straight compare and there’s a lot of logic behind it, to truly price check like a human would. It’s definitely doable – especially for GGG who can give themselves better rate limits and all that, but it’s not quite as trivial as a lot of people think.

Putting my item into Ange tab also converts it’s value(data) to be searchable from the trade site. Just include a login that puts those search parameters at 0.9 for the minimum value for any affix an implicit and you have a very strong tool for quick price checking. The load for the trade site would not be that mich higher, as those 3rd Party tools also send their requests there.

It is less difficult than you think as you only have to manipulate and expand the system already in place. I anyone wants more fine tuning in their search, that is a thing you can do by yourself after the copy pasta.

As a Linux user I am screwed because all apps are not running properly. It’s pretty annoying that I cannot use the item I hover over as a base or just ctrl + C. So yes having an ingame price checker is the next step they should take.

Where did this notion come from? Why is it that so many people say “they don’t want to” whenever something hasn’t happened yet rather than “they haven’t gotten to it yet”? Where have they said that they do not want it?

Especially on this feature because Jonathan in the QnA of 3.27 heavily insinuated that they do want to have an easy way ingame to price check.

Yeah, I’d rather try something like buy orders. That would kind of include seeing the highest offers available. The market search system is strong enough that you could specify exactly what kind of item you’re looking for.

That’d be cool, but might not work as well in practice as in theory. Although a notification system where you could put in a request to the game with the stats you want, and maybe a range of percentages/tiers of said stats where you’d be notified if an item with those stats appear on the market. You could then be as specific as you’d like to either find exactly the item you want. The mechanic to item search is already in the game, so the mechanic itself shouldnt be too hard
