How do we alleviate the pressure on Jaylen in big games? Or is it just a matter of getting Tatum back?

Hopefully this comes off as more constructive than critical. The Celtics have played 3 games in the past few weeks against 3 of the top 4 teams record wise in the league, and came out 0-3. Each game was close, but we’ve seen some pretty brutal performances from our top 3 guys.

Derrick was 719 against Denver, 1126 against San Antonio, and 111 (!!) against Detroit.

Payton was solid against Denver and Detroit, but only gave us 4 against San Antonio.

And even though Jaylens totals look good, averaging 30.68.64.3 in those 3 games, his true shooting was at 50.71% and he averaged over 5 turnovers.

Even Simmons hasn’t been great.

I’m not that smart, but I don’t love Jaylen guarding Jamal or Cade in some of these games. We need him to be an offensive force, and it’s not as easy when you spend 30 minutes guarding the other teams best player.

Outside of that, or a trade, is there anything else we can do? Or is this just a matter of waiting for Tatum to get back?
