I’m generally of the thought they really need to preserve picks for after Curry retires but Giannis is probably worth pursuing even if they won’t be championship contender. He’s a 31 year old franchise player, perennial MVP candidate and also really helps them in the areas that the team needs in. At that point, you’re throwing away lottery tickets for a ticket that is a known winner.

Dame was the player he picked out of the options they gave him, he didn’t magically align the contracts and timing so dame specifically could play for the bucks.

Giannis is like an exGF of mine. We broke up and hated each other and got back together and loved each other and openly spoke about how we hated and loved each other for so long. Our lives were so intwined after years of being together that breaking up wasn’t simple, it was a huge difficult process with lots of regrets.
Ultimately it was worth it, my only regret is that I didn’t make the separation sooner. Giannis has cold feet but he just needs to take the plunge - it’s not going to get better in Milwaukee.
