[Injury] Steven Adams gets injured upon landing and is helped to the locker room (with replays).

Postgame update from Udoka: “Sprained ankle. Lots of swelling already. Nothing broken.”
That’s some quick ass imaging they did but hopefully that’s true
most stadiums have an Xray machine on hand
Yeah but I imagine they can’t completely rule out soft tissue damage no? (I’m the one sibling who didn’t become a doctor I don’t actually know)
nope, would need an MRI, but Udoka never said that they did yet:
“Sprained ankle. Lots of swelling already. Nothing broken.”
So they ran him through some physical tests (its also obvious on the video) and did an X-ray to rule out any broken bones, if necessary he’ll get an MRI tomorrow to determine the severity of the ankle sprain
I had about 10 sprained ankles. Back then, we had a grandfather who, with the help of two drops of some oil and one finger, would set all the sprains. The swelling would go down the next day. You bandage the ankle and play the game. There were several people who set it, but this one was the best. As far as he was capable, orthopedic surgeons would send patients to set their arms, legs, and shoulders before they put on a cast. He never took money, and he set the legs of all the athletes in Yugoslavia. He and 7 other recruits were taught this by an officer in Slovenia while they were doing their military service. He never took money, you bought juice, coffee, and that was it. When you left 200, 500 dinars, he never took it in his hands and protested. I heard that his son does it today, this grandfather died, I don’t know how capable he is. There are a lot of people in the world who know muscle building and have a feeling that they do things like this and these are not scams, it helped me personally.
Ok
He 100% has soft tissue damage. That’s what a sprained ankle is.
Yeah dumb mistake on my part meant “more severe soft tissue damage”
Tell have to do an MRI tomorrow most likely. I hope the best for him. When I was 15 I rolled my ankle skating and I ended up tearing all the ligaments in it. The doctor told me it would have been better to break it rather than tear the ligaments because they’ll never heal the same. It’s been 20 years and it’s still noticeably weaker and prone to rolling. I hope that’s not the case for him but it not being broken doesn’t mean they’re out to the woods.
Shit, that ain’t nothin to play with
Glad its not more serious
I once had a really bad sprain, and it was the most pain I’ve ever felt in my life, literally everything went black, and I felt I was going to throw up from the pain. Nothing was broken, but I was completely done for a while.
Looked like something in his knee tbh. I thought mcl or acl
Hopefully minor
Jesus. I was just talking with my friend, who’s a Houston fan, about how I worry how reliant Houstons offence is on Adams.
I hope he’s alright. They need him.
This team struggles without his rebounding and screens. He’s actually one of the only players that set real screens, this will hurt the season really fucking bad if he’s out for a while.
Feels bad man. Liked you guys last year and was hoping it’d be a good fit with KD. The west is more fun when all 3 Texas teams are good and hate each other
Season has been cursed since the start man, I was so excited and then FVV tears his ACL, Tari gets injured twice with one of those being at the same time Sengun missed like a week. Now Adam’s goes down.
Really looks like it will be year of wasting Durant balling out but at the very least I get to still watch Durant hoop in a Rockets uniform.
Don’t forget DFS’ late start
I know how yall feel. Kornet is the only one that sets legit screena for us
Ime is gonna have to get creative…
Spoiler alert he is incapable of that.
The on off numbers actually suggest the exact opposite.
Fuck that actually looks bad…
Anyone else think the modern NBA game causes more injures? It’s so fast. Anyway, hope Adams is alright.
Yes, everyone thinks that
The amount of stuff on all positions has to cover in the perimeter, jumping and crashing and falling over is very tough on the body.
Sports, in essence, is not just the NBA.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO
Damn, the only likeable player on the Rockets. Rest up king
Oh shit
He has very high pain tolerance, so its not good when Aquaman reacted like that.
Hope he gets well soon. Rockets need him.
That’s a bummer damnn
Most likeable guy in the league. I really hope it’s nothing serious, but it does not look good…
Sorry Rockets fans! Sad day for Houston. We still love you Steven!
This looks bad man. ACL?
That was my initial thought but the last replay shows him turn the ankle upon landing. But him holding his knee on the ground doesn’t bode well either.
This is what cost him an entire season at Memphis right?
Absolutely gutted if this is the case again
Definitely
So weird to see him hurt because he is one of the toughest players I’ve ever seen. Get well soon bro
My king
That’s awful. Hopefully it’s a injury that looks worse than it really is
Goddamn it
get well soon dothraki
Nooo :(
This guy is real key for rockets
Nooo not my aquaman, I love him as a player and person
Without Adams, I dont know.
When I busted my knee; I had no pain but I knew it was toasted. Then some Karen came and helped me up and I felt it then.
Bro at this rate half of the West will be limping into the postseason
smh that sux. Hoping for the best.
Damnit…..I hope it’s just an ankle sprain. Love that guy.
Fuuuuuuck….
That’s terrible news . I hope for a speedy recovery for Steven
Is the little old lady in the Brown his Mother? She’s like, wherever he’s going, I’m following because that’s my baby.
Prays up for Stevens, it didn’t look good.
Must be a kuia, his mum has passed ages ago.
I hope its nothing serious, love steven adams
I swear to god some ppl here gets off from posting long videos which never shows the actual re-play angle you need to see
Just fell to my knees in a MinitMart 😭
Not a rockets fan, but I love Steven Adam’s and wish him nothing but the best in life. Class act guy, hope he’s ok
When the trainer was going down onto one knee, did he really just put (some of) his weight on Adams left knee? Wtf?
Ouch. Glad he didn’t break anything (if Udoka is right).
Love ❤️ Injury helps us grow but it doesn’t define us anymore than a Sport.
