Timberwolves have been pretty insane in the clutch this year. Not even a 15 point lead feels safe against them with 5 minutes to play.
Even that denver game they were down like 15 with 4 mins to go and somehow sent it to OT

He should be leading CPOY, averaging 1.4 less points than Shai on approximately (0.44*FTAdiff+FGAdiff, since turnovers are equal) 2.4 less used possessions because the efficiency gap is so big.

I think he is without question leading that race, I mean the efficiency gap is like 20% and 30%. SGA does have 1.6ppg more, but thats with the efficiency gap and also 0.9 mpg more which doesn’t sound like a lot but in the clutch it kind of is, considering 1 bucket is 2 points and you can easily get a bucket in that 1 minute gap or get some intentional FTs, etc.

NBA.com’s definition of clutch is pretty generous. Last five minutes with the score within five points. Five minutes is a hell of a long time to be in the clutch. At worst it should be the final minute with a score to tie or take the lead and really, it should be the last five seconds with a score to tie or take the lead. That is the true definition of clutch.
