I don’t even think thats true. Score, 2 possession game, 3 seconds left, sure they can fair catch the kickoff but you could also squib and they need to run a play to score after the fair catch which would take more than 3 seconds then you would need to onside kick which would bleed seconds

He is already a good offensive player. But there seriously nothing you can do when his shot is falling. And then you add in his defense. The kid really is an Alien. He has the clutch gene too. When he hit that 3 after Ant? man…what a game.
Even on nights when Wemby’s offense looks really bad, his defense is always on a DPOY level.
It’s just mindblowing to me, even as a Spurs fan, that a DPOY-level performance is considered an “off-game” for him.

I think you put it in words very well what I was trying to figure out about Wemby but couldn’t. He does do this, but now that I know what it is, I can calm myself because I feel he can fix this by experience and relaxing a bit when things aren’t falling (and just adapt). Having a great coaching staff around him exponentially helps too.
