As a Clippers fan, what’s really nice is seeing the young guys play well. Second rounder Kobe Sanders is a quality role player at age 20. Jordan Miller has graduated from “too good for G league” to actually productive guard. The schedule is pretty easy and Zubac hasn’t played great yet, I think they can continue building on this success.

Comparing the pre-season expectations for the Clippers, and the actual performances by the rest of the western conference, I would expect the Clippers to be somewhere in the Suns, Lakers, Warriors tier of teams, below the favorites and bonafide contenders, but still a good and competitive team. And that is pretty much where they look like they will end up in the standings.

So it really begs the question of why the first third of the season was as awful as it was, especially because they were horrendous defensively, and Kawhi was playing most of the games.

As someone who hasn’t closely followed the Clippers, the only things I can think of are that Chris Paul must have been poisoning the Clippers, and Aspiration cheques hadn’t cashed for Kawhi just yet.
