I genuinely believe the Hornets were a regular non-minutes restriction LaMelo season from being a team contending for top 6 in the East. LaMelo and Kon play so well together and Sion and Moussa are so so so so so so underrated for the little things that they bring to the table.

Teams don’t actually do this that often if you actually watch the games, which I suspect you don’t. There is no need to do this against the Lakers offence, they have no good perimeter defenders, Luka is not even among the worst ones. Do they hunt him a bit? Yeah of course they do. Every team hunts the best offensive player. It would be dumb not to, it tires them out. But it’s not even close to the Lakers biggest issue.

Hard to win when your bench scores 9 points the whole game. And that isn’t an anomaly, that is a pretty regular occurrence
