His playstyle can be so disrespectful when he’s hitting everything.
A healthy LaMelo Ball is great for the league. A great Charlotte Hornets is great for the league.
Purple and Teal will takeover like the 90s on just vibes alone if these guys can ever get healthy enough to start competing like their talent is clearly made to do.
In the post game interview he said something about how he wasn’t phased after his poor shooting in the first half because it meant things would go his way in the 2nd and it’s so funny because in the 2nd he really was out there putting up shots off the rip like a guy that knew he wasn’t gonna miss lmao.
Dude came out of the half and hit back to back 3s like it was nothing
LaMelo on a heater is one of the most fun players to watch I’ve ever seen
Can confirm
LaMelo is such a hard player to value
On the one hand he’s absurdly injury prone which makes it very risky to build around him
On the other hand his impact when healthy is legitimately All-Star caliber
Good news is no one has to worry about his value. We ride or die with brain rot magic because we ain’t gettin a better PG.
He’s just one of the best showman in the league, it might not always equate to winning basketball but he’s always gonna be must watch television
Honestly when with a team like Charlotte you take what you can get
Trust me id know
I wish more people would understand and accept this. Lamelo is flawed but we only get about one player his caliber a decade lol
Yeah unless you luck into a SGA or a Jokic you just take what’s given to you, and if it’s an all-NBA caliber player that’s very popular? That’s a nice bonus
Yall saying this like charlotte doesn’t have the reincarnation of prime klay as their rookie right now. Hornets making moves
I mean I don’t think it’s a super hot take to say that if the guys could stay healthy and lock in they have the talent to be a legitimate playoff team in the East.
We’ve been sayin that for 3 years tho haha. It is what it is with injuries. Finally getting some depth that is NBA level and not a bunch of g leaguers is almost just as big as having everyone healthy.
Yeah I mean this is the first year it’s been true though, and yeah the depth is a big part of it. Hopefully Kalkbrenner develops into a legit big and isn’t just the best Plumlee or Kaminsky. Ultimately and unfortunately they’re only gonna go as far as Lamelo will take them.
Hornets get a center ohhhh boy
we got a center his name is moussa fuckin diabate
Mousse Diabetes
These guys just need a defensive backbone, Moussa’s perfect. Even with Miles, if he’s used as utility player there’s no need to get rid of him. They just need some longer versions of Sion to add a level of high octane defense to match their juggernaut offensive core in Ball Kon and Miller.
They have to model OKC and just get a bunch of dirty work guys because LaMelo Kon and BMill are clearly capable of being pests once that defense backbone is established. Defense is contagious! So infect the team with some dogs and give em a backbone.
Pat’s contract, Josh Green, Mason Plumlee and Colin or Tre are the assets they need to auction, I wouldn’t touch the core yet.
They are a Jokic away from being championship favorites.
LaMelo, Brandon Williams and Konipple is a solid core
Denver about to build around Watson. So Jokic will be a cheap pickup.
Brandon Williams is on the Mavericks
They had this guy in Ja and Trae negative value convos. Hawks played better without Trae and Ja threw away his moment to be a delinquent.
LaMelo never said a word, got healthy, and balled out WITH Kon and WITH BMill, minutes restriction and all.
The Hornets are a defensive backbone away— these guys love to play with each other and want to win with each other. Keep going!
Miles Bridges should be the guy in Ja and Trae negative trade values that dude is what everyone thinks melo is. Only wants to play offense and does nothing else while being very mediocre on offense.
He’s shooting 56% TS
Because he doesn’t get 12 FTs a game to boost his TS%. That stat is poop in FTA era
Yeah and it’s going up with each passing game. His FT and 3pt percentages are both elite. Just has to improve his shot selection
DAMN
Started 1⁄7
if you stop shooting, it means you gave up
keep shooting that shit
Wild
Idc what ppl say, this kid can be a winning player on a contending team
He’s so good. Need him to stay healthy so that people can stop it with their braindead takes saying stupid shit like Pritchard>Lamelo
LIVING LAMELO LOCO
Well yes we have the worst guard rotation in the entire league. He’ll have his way against us.
Smart regressed back to the mean already?
LaMelo takes it personally whenever he matches up with Luka
Ball does not, in fact, lie
3 points at half remember that, dude turned the fuck on, everything was going very cool to see
What did we do to him
Okay, I’m just now starting to think the Wiseman pick was a mistake
when hes in form hes so enjoyable to watch
Thank you A_MASSIVE_PERVERT
He reminds me so much of Jason Williams. It’s not their exact playstyle—since J-Will wasn’t that type of offensive threat—but they were both electric on the court and the game just looks so natural for both of them. It’s just pure, raw talent.
People often pigeonhole J-Will as being turnover-prone, but he was actually near the top of the league in assist-to-turnover ratio once he got to Memphis under Hubie Brown. He became a very reliable PG as he matured. If Melo can stay healthy and rein it in just a bit, his potential is through the roof
