It was more on the fatigue, Houston tired out stopping SGA at 0pts the entire 1st quarter that getting to 20 the 2nd half was always in reach.

How do you know that last bit? Wilt was definitely the type to try to keep a streak going. Why has nobody else come close to breaking Wilt’s record? Giannis and Jokic are the two most effortless scorers in the league behind Shai, but they’ve not come close and they supposedly have to carry so much more.

Wilt also averaged just shy of 40 FGA (+17 FTA) in one of the seasons he had this streak going which is literally more than double what Shai is putting up.

It’s hard to compare the two streaks, such a wildly different era. Both are impressive for different reasons.

The fact Shai is way ahead of other modern guys (Jordan, KD, Harden, Giannis, Luka etc) is the impressive part imo. It’s insane consistency and that’s a valuable thing no matter how you wanna frame it.

Over a bigger 10+ stretch of games, he’s shooting like 20% in the fourth. He’s legit been terrible. Best believe they gave him 5 free throws though in a 2 minute window, just so he could hit 20 lmao.
