[Highlight] The Orlando Magic overcome a 20-point deficit to defeat the Memphis Grizzlies 118-111 in Berlin. Orlando outscores Memphis 60-44 in the 2nd half to win back-to-back games for the first time since December 1st.
Why was this game so lit
Cause you could actually focus on the fucking game and hear the fans instead of obnoxious music with the bass cranked too high!!
Also no commercial breaks every 28 seconds.
Yea I’m starting to realize how the background music straight makes the product worse
I actually can’t believe how bad the music is always. Nobody cares about background music let me pay attention to the damn game
Hockey vs Lacrosse vibes.
Hockey is quiet and people are focused during the game Lacrosse is blasting music and no one really cares what’s going on
Ah, that’s what felt different about this game. I couldn’t put my finger on it. Game felt, so raw. We need more of this
Yeah I also loved soccer during COVID. You could actually hear what the players were shouting to each other on tv.
because european fans know how to make some atmosphere, especially when they are paying 200 euros plus for a ticket. americans think shouting defence with hip hop instrumentals in the background is fun
December 1st is insane
We’ve just been trading wins and losses for ages. Been .500 since then.
Orlando Hawks
We have been mid for basically 2 months. Yeah
Coinciding with having 2-3 starters injured at any given time. Magic should get Suggs back next week and God willing, get to see an intact starting lineup for more than 160 game minutes this season.
Our best player got injured right around that time
this has broken the streak of win-loss pattern the magic have been on since dec 18
Grizzlies have to blow it up soon right?
You just watched our team that’s blown up play
Grizzlies’ coach is clueless.
Why are we having international games again? 🤔
because it’s fun?
Germany seems like a weird market but I guess bc of Franz?
Germany will always be big consumer market if it gains interest for a thing and Basketball has been on a large rise fueled by the success of the National Team.
Franz of course plays a role in this as he is the first real hope for a bonifide star player since Dirk.
Speaking of Dirk, he also played a massive role in popularising NBA basketball there as of the current player generation watched him ball out growing up. Helped that he is probably the most universally loved German athlete in a long time.
I listened to part of Adam’s press conference before the game and he seems really keen on making nba Europe a big thing with Berlin as a prime city.
I wouldn’t doubt if Silver is really pushing to make basketball a global sport in the way soccer is with the world cup
soft launching NBA Europe
Never understood how an EU team would work, the travel would be crazy, they’d have to reduce the schedule from 82 first I think
no, like it’ll be its own league with only European teams
Because people around the world love nba basketball
