They were very good in 2022 and 2023. They played the 22 warriors champs better then anyone and losing to lebrow lakers isn’t that bad. If Ja stays healthy or just doesn’t miss that g1 shot to boot they maybe have a title In 23. That’s with injuries- I think there pace n physicality matches up well vs Dallas and Boston was flawed offensively and injured

The way jA cooked 22 warriors is very underrated. Controversial take but he had a better offensive series against a great defence then Giannis ever had- desoite both guys being non shooters Ja had that D Wade type combo of finesse, playmaking and knifing through the wall defence that reduced Giannis to below average efficiency And team led offense against great defense.

Seriously watch back that 22 playoff series vs warriors and there regular seasons around then . They were certainly champ worthy , 3 all star impsvt players that fit incredibly well with a great deep supporting cast - expertly finding value late in draft. Memphis drafting and developing was under rated for how good even now they are without stars.

A guard who can knife to the paint and collapse defenses- best or close to it athlete i lesgue ( think he was voted it) , great handle, great touch at rim n short mid range , great playmaking

They had good bigs and depth around them, even Tyus looked like a great backup . Guys like brooks could create a bit and defend like hell. He did great on curry even in 22. Yeah. Noah was also a better player, in my opinion, than both Stephenson and Dillion. A great rebounder, defender and passer. Dillion can be better in the future though, especially if he stays being a great scorer and enforcer/defender.

But as both careers are now, I’m on Noah’s ark.

And even then, he was able to come back and contribute during his Grizzlies run.

Exactly. He’s still a chucker but he’s actually making the shots he’d miss in Memphis. Credit to the work he’s put in to improve but this is not a result of getting more opportunity on the offensive end than before. Hopefully, it’s not an anomaly season but his shot diet is not different from his inefficient years in Memphis.
