So the word “diabolical” gets thrown around a lot
And Kidd still refused to play D’Lo a single minute. That player option Nico gave him for next season sure is hilarious.
Man if they didn’t get generational luck with Flagg, the Mavs would be in the shitter right now
Yeah man. They even have Caleb Martin under contract through the 2027-2028 season and he’s been one of the worst players in the league this season. Traded Quentin Grimes for him 😂
Traded Quentin Grimes for him
plus gave up a 2rp
They really need to just have a fire sale and try to get some semblance of a rebuild going.
Doesnt help that with AD going down, his contract is shaping up to be straight up poison. I can’t imagine any competent team will want to take him on… The man has been a walking injury report. With Klay and Dlo on the team too? Just diabolical.
luck
lol
then we getting closer to Darryn Peterson
Generational?
Used to be generational meant dudes like Jordan, Kobe, and Lebron. Every somewhat good player coming into the league gets the generational tag now. My guess is recency bias probably
You don’t think Cooper Flagg is generational? He is just “somewhat good”? Cause then, you should look at what he is doing and go back to the early seasons of the three you mentioned, and see the difference in production, and reassess Cooper Flagg.
No
I’ve seen a dozen guys like Flagg in the last 2 decades lmao. They’re plenty of guys hyped like crazy that start strong and even out, like Wiggins, before stabilizing into solid careers. I’ve seen players of his same archetype become stars, like Tatum, but also plenty of rookie stars that peak their first year. There isn’t anything he does that hasn’t been done before or won’t happen again. He’s special because he’s good at such a young age, not because nobody has averaged 18 with good defense on bad efficacy on a losing team.
There has never been another LeBron, no matter how hard the “next LeBron” articles try. There’s only been two Jordan’s, being Kobe and MJ. Wilt is never happening again, even after 50 years, and nobody has ever done what Wemby is doing at the level he is doing it. Nothing Flagg does is unique, it’s the combination of solid skills and age that makes him a good prospect. If he was 25 nobody would care, he’s just very ahead of schedule.
Then what would you call Wemby? Generational means a once-in-a-generation type player, not just potentially great or elite.
So because Jordan was generational, I guess Hakeem Olajuwon was just chopped liver, cause surely there can’t have been 2 generational players in the same draft, right?
By the way, just curious, is Steph Curry a generational player or Kevin Durant? Or maybe neither are generational, seeing as they were drafted only two years apart and they definitely can’t both be generational.
This is an absolutely asinine argument.
He’s very good for his age but that doesn’t someone generational ffs. He’s played half a season, why don’t you cool the hype train a little.
So you are no longer on the point that Cooper Flagg can’t be generational because Wemby exists. Now the issue is simply that he’s not played long enough to be assessed? Well, that’s a difference of opinion.
I personally think what he showed prior to getting drafted, and what he has showed so far this season, at age 18, more than meets the bar to be considered a generational talent. You can probably count on one hand 18 years olds putting up the kind of performances Cooper Flagg has so far this season.
Whether he lives up to what his talent promises is a different topic altogether.
The point is I would reserve that term for very select players. Wemby has potential to be an all time with his toolkit great hence a generational talent. Cooper isn’t on that level.
Well you see Cooper is generational but Wemby is super duper generational. But honestly I dont even take this shit seriously, r/nba is gonna d ride no matter what I say. Bro talking like this kid is the second coming of Jordan. I cant take them seriously.
I thought he was hurt that’s why he didnt play. Kidd must hate him cause Mavs were poo besides Hardy and Marshall
Knicks are 5⁄29 rn
Mavs/Knicks connection is just like that 💪💪💪💪
lakers was 6⁄36 against Kings before Brony hit 2 in gabo time
God damnn
When they played Brooklyn on Monday one of our announcers said they were one of the worst 3 point shooting teams, averaging 10 a game. They had 8 by the half and finished with 15. Klay Thompson was 6-9 from 3.
Oh, you too Dallas?
Us and Spurs have it as well lol 😂
Add the Lakers to that list, also against the Kings
That’s some OKC shit
Feels like the flu is going around the nba and that flu is terrible 3 point shooting.
Mavbricks
There is a guy that used to play for the Mavs that was a really good outside shooter
Tim Hardaway Jr. 😞
Thanks for giving us Timmy Piston bros :) I hope we see you in the NBA finals.
2020-2021 Maxi Kleber
Tim Hardaway, right?
Charlie Villanueva?
I can’t believe someone got lower than us
I kind of want to know what the combined 3p% of the guys that played today are lol
Damn, could be subbed in for the Game 7 Rockets in 2017 with those 3PT shooting numbers
Those are Lakers numbers, wow. Thought it was just us capable of that kind of stuff.
the Knicks are having a remarkably similar game…is mercury in retrograde or something?
Nice
sad for the audience to watch that shit
Modern nba sadly
They tried. That is most important. It’s about having fun
