That said, my eye test tells me Castle does just as good as anyone when guarding SGA.
He’s 44⁄87 against the Spurs and castle is usually his primary defender right? I have a hard time believing that stat. Not saying youre wrong, just wondering where you saw that.
Castle was the one who defended him by far the most, but it was still only a fraction of his total playing time. You can look at each individual matchup here. He mostly torched Fox and Kornet, got quite a few points on Barnes, Keldon, Champagnie, and Harper as well.
As an OKC fan yes, his percentage is down against castle, he’s a good full court press defender. He’s the only one on the spurs that can slightly contain him. He torched everyone else.
