SGA blocking wemby and putting up more blocks than wemby, my fucking goat
Not more blocks than Wemby.
Four times as many blocks as Wemby.
Holy shit?
A lot more handshakes after the game too.
Wemby scurried off quick!
More blocks than they whole team lmao
Chet tied their team.
Leg clamp goat. Stupid Thunder Floppers.
Awww petey is mad everywhere! That block DID mess with you
You finally won a game against a minutes restriction wemby and leg clamping.
He played 28 minutes last night? He was only out of the game when there was 20 something gap and he finished the game
They took him off right after he went middle and passed it for an open 3. Tide was turning. It doesn’t matter. He will be playing full minutes next time he sees you. You won 1 game out of 4. That clamp with the legs and no foul is the special treatment you always get. You never admit it because you benifit from it.
petey cryinggg so sad
Seeing you cry all over Reddit makes the win feel so much better
We won a game against leg clamping peteypie? What’s that mean exactly? Actually idrc lemme go look at some pictures of our chip
Back to back MVP.
Best player on the planet.
Not his best shooting night (hasn’t been shooting as well as of late) but made winning plays throughout. Also not his best shooting night is still 59% lmao. That Wemby block was insane
His 3 point shot completely fell off after injuring his finger.
It was always going to regress to the mean, he was shooting between 20-30% constantly in the playoffs, sometimes worse, the 50% or whatever it was, that was always a little unrealistic. Especially considering its not super high volume and the shots were not incredibly difficult.
The step back 3 is a new shot he added to his bag. It was a shot he didn’t have last postseason or the previous 68 win season. It has been a pretty high percentage shot for him considering it’s usually in an iso and the defenders bite because he drives so often.
Low sample size and volume though. That 50% or so stretch was like 10-20 games, mostly low difficulty shots. I am not saying he didn’t improve, but the number was never going to be that efficient at near 45-50% for a full season, he is at 39% now, I imagine the number will be very close to his .375 from last season, and in the playoffs go back to about 30-35%
I mean his 2 point shot is insanely efficient I think he’s more than capable of shooting 40% or higher. Those shots look completely different from his 3 last year. He would always be off balance last season. That step back is pretty consistent form. His % across the board has gone down the last 11 games since the injury. Ive watched almost every game and it seems to be bothering him. Hes always messing with the splint/tape on the sidelines. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets surgery on it in the offseason. Also 20+ games is a pretty good sample size lol.
most of the misses came in the forth coming off the bench, they started blitzing his ass & doubling last 5 mins of the game.. but yah poor 4th from him , still got the job done tho
MVP
Shaii Buttah!
Shai is the mvp no question. It really felt like he brought out the fire in OKC from the third quarter, and made some insane defensive plays to shut down any runs.
Tough loss for our guys, especially during this slump. They played way too timid and felt like all the physicality from the previous 3 bouts and the first two quarters evaporated. They’ll do fine but this month isn’t getting any easier. Learn from this loss and come back stronger against Milwaukee.
On the bright side, you’re the rivals of the best team + reigning champions + reigning MVP/FMVP. That’s really really really good considering how young your core is, barring wemby injury yall can make a run this year or the next or the one after, if not all 3 and beyond
Oh don’t get me wrong, I don’t think the sky is falling for this team. Again we’re way ahead of schedule, most people myself included thought making the 6th seed would be a success going into this season. But they still have a lot to figure out, and still develop more maturity. Slumps like this recent one will happen, and the team has been doing well enough but if they have expectations for something more than a first round exit they gotta develop good habits while the cost of losing is still pretty low.
Indeed. I have high hopes for you guys
I wouldn’t overreact they just had a tough away b2b and they just lost a game to the best team in the league. League needs to figure out how to stop b2b’s.
They can’t fuck with 2
MVP. No one else has a case.
Kinda wish Jokic wasn’t out so there was some suspense lol
Not sure the “suspense” was very enjoyable last year lol
first time shame on you second time shame on me third time shame on us no more fourth time
No 5th and playoff sweep? 🥺
nobody beats us four times in a row!
Yeah baby! 😛
SGA is the best man, he’s everything you want your superstar to be.
SGA: “who do you think you are? I am”
Hate me or love me you watched thats all you could do.
Elite reference
And most importantly one Thighgate started
Hahahaha
4 blocks? mvp this man already
Best player in the world.
Back 2 back
Watson is coming for that MVP
This thread is an echo chamber of thunder fans lmao. r/nba hate us
Thunder repeated tonight? Seems like it in the comments
11⁄23 😑
59% ts is pretty good
yeah because of 13 free throws
So?
more free throws = better percentage
Obviously, that’s why being a threat going to the basket makes you efficient, you get fouled.
you also get fouls by foul baiting
23 shots for 34 points is pretty good.
Thunder floppers finally win a game against a minutes restriction Wemby and think they are something special? SGA is only special at using his legs as clamps on 7 ft aliens.
Awww petey is so VERY mad
The only mad ones are Thunder Floppers.
2025 champions, first chip for the franchise, first seed at 34-7, started the season in 2016 warriors talks, MVP/FMVP/scoring title for our star player (who just pulled off one of the best games of his career and BLOCKED a 7’4”+ guy). Why would I be mad petey? Things are great 😋
mad that you can watch that game and think the Spurs didnt flop more than OKC
Who was clamping people with their legs with not even a foul call? Who was putting their feet under players taking jumpshots?
wow they beat them… once…
Champs 🥷🏽
what’s that gotta do with anything? 😭 crazy cope
I mean you are coping about okc being 1-3 and ignoring that OKC is lapping the west recordwise and are the current champs. Regular season series agaisnt 1 team isnt really that relevant
Yet you guys were sobbing after the third L stop acting like you didnt care because you clearly did
Remind me of the Warriors/Thunder record this season
No correlation
Lolll you mad as hell jecoff
I felt sobbing about losing 3 straight within a month to the same team as well as losing in general is valid. Team hasn’t looked the same recently, but are coming back to form with Jdub recovering. Still need hart to come back and hope that ligament damage on Shais shooting finger is not too terrible.
It was valid but they pretending they didnt do it lol.
I mean obviously we care, but it is the regular season. We lost to the Timberwolves 3 times last year in the regular season, but it was a gentlemen’s sweep in the playoffs. I’m just saying don’t be cocky just cause you won a few regular season games.
Did we want to win? Sure. Does it matter in the grand scheme of things? Not really. Its not that deep. Time and time we have been proven than regular season matchups dont translate to playoffs necessarily. Also, very big these teams dont even face each other
you said that shit like they’re bums lol.. so i addressed you 🤣👏🏽👏🏽 hate watch unsuccessful i see; you’ll get it next time brudda, make it 4-1 🥀🥀
We’re the champions lil brobro
its the first game since game 1 of the season series where OKC genuinely had their shit together
