[Johnson] Asked Hawks GM Onsi Saleh if he feels addressing the Center position is a priority: “We like our bigs, we really do. Let’s just continue to evaluate it…we’re not going to do anything that’s a quick fix for this season.”
That sounds like the standard front office way of saying they aren’t willing to overpay at the deadline for a marginal upgrade when the current roster isn’t a piece away from true contention.
And that’s the thread. Thanks for stopping by folks.
Welcome to Atlanta, where we’re day-to-day.
And we only get linked to terrible trades
Center market is depressed anyway. Not a whole lot any Center hungry team can do.
Not unless someone can swindle the Clippers for Zubac
don’t say that. don’t say that.
Hawks are 20-13 without Trae. More like they are developing young roster and don’t need to make any big moves at the moment especially a team that is always in clickbait rumors
That’s good because Anthony Davis isn’t a quick fix.
That’s a wild beard
Looks glued on
Onsi Saleh looks like a podcaster reacting to a trade made by Onsi Saleh
That’s what I initially thought was happening
call me a casual for not knowing who the Hawks gm is but this is not what i expected him to look like
How do people seriously think he should answer that question? “Yh our players are shit and we’re gonna replace them the first chance we get”
Onsi is the man, so thankful to have him as a GM
People will shit on our FO for Trae trade. I love Trae, I hoped he’d find a way to fit in with this roster, but his playstyle differs from everyone else and it doesn’t even make sense to have your star fit in with others
Without Trae on court, we play a lot faster, sharing the ball around, we are way less predictable and JJ is the new star
Kispert and CJ are great depth pieces too
Hope it works in long term
People are going to be calling him a genius for moving on so deftly by the all star break, like I sincerely feel people who think we’re bozos for moving from Trae at any cost haven’t been watching our games, continuing with him would have been the absolute definition of madness
I don’t think us trading for AD was ever a thing. Maybe they floated it around but the only way a trade for AD wouldn’t make me quit on the team is if we basically gave up nothing and pay him nothing lol.
I’m pretty sure it’s already confirmed the Hawks never made an offer for AD.
I mean I think the realization was that they built a team to have good defense with Trae. But the team has great defense without Trae so it ended up being a bit of a wash.
is that fucking keemstar?
If your name is Alex. Watch out.
Did they hire a alpha male podcaster as GM?
I love our “Pero Antic in disguise” GM and nobody can change that.
KPs gonna be on the verge of coming back until he leaves the team unfortunately
Bro speaks in miley cyrus
Send the pelicans pick for a soon to be well rested AD
They’re not a serious team lol
Not saying you’re wrong but no GM will ever come out and say “we need an upgrade at x position”. Thats basically saying your players suck, and gives other teams leverage during negotiation.
Which is why these GM Q&As are always pointless, because it’s always the same generic shit.
Based on what? Lol
I remember them blasting the lakers with basically all backups on a b2b earlier this year. Remind me again which team is serious?
20-21 in the ankle deep East lol
