If healthy their rotations are
Jokic/Murray/AG/Cam/Pwat or Braun
then they have the other off the bench, Spencer jones, Bruce Brown, THJ, Val, and now pickett and Nnaji are giving them good minutes. They’re legit such a deep team this season.
The emergence of Spencer jones and Nnaji playing really solid makes the depth crazy. Daron Holmes even showed some moments.
I still think they should consider adding a 3 and D guard though thats probably Pickett now and odds of getting someone better are low.
Jokic AG Valanciunas Nnaji Holmes is a ton of bodies up front on this roster.
Then Spencer jones and Watson are versatile guys who can play some PF or small ball 5 in some lineups.
Our biggest weakness is a solid backup PG yeah. Pickett has been showing flashes but regular season is very different from playoffs.
Ya the guy will surprise you. Like he was staying in front of Maxey some on key possessions.
Looks like slowest guy in league but he gets it done and gets the team into offense.
Still an upgrade over bruce/pickett would be massive.
Don’t know man, there might be better athletes than Pickett in the market, but he’s maybe a top3 iq guy on the team, doesn’t make mistakes, has no ego so plays his role perfectly, good shooter, willing passer, competes on defence, crashes the boards and boxes out on the other end. I think he’d be good in the playoffs, in the postseason he’d maybe need to play 8-10 minutes only every other game or so. I think the squad is good as is, the only other guys that have had minutes who can be attractive to selling teams are Julian and Zeke. These last seven games have been great for confidence and chemistry, we probably got 7 more of this at the most optimistic, they have a similar run and I think the squad is set.
Agree with you. If pickett can stay in front of guys on D he can 100% play and youre not finding a better player out there. And hes seemed sturdy on D at times.
Bruce is solid but more a utility guy.

All you need with Jamal, these kids never played serious basketball so they are looking at player stats like its nba game. Im from Serbia and if you want to win anything you need players like this. We are very aware its a team sport even ehen you have Jokic.
Nnaji will get lost at the end of the bench when players come back healthy. We’ve seen flashes of this before with him but it never lasts, and the his bad games are rough as guts.

DBook isn’t filling up the stat sheet but he’s playing winning basketball. The team is so deep and complete it’s awesome compared to other years
I honestly love those type of players. Wemby has that same impact, where even if he doesn’t get a certain stat for a play, he is deterring the entire offense from driving in all game. Dillon brooks is a pest on defense
Yeah Booker has been playing great. He is getting to his spots easier with Williams threatening pnr. And the team actually moves when Book is doubled so he can make a pass out of it.
Brooks has become really good at catching defences sleeping or underestimating his shoulder bump to the rim on top of increased 3pt percentages.
Gillespie and Goodwin have been giving good minutes
Great defense by the Nuggets but Giannis should have had a touch there at least. They were playing that entire possession like there was 4 seconds left on the clock when they had plenty of time to calm it down and set up a play.
Doc desperately wants KPJ to run the offense to the detriment of the team.

KPJ initial drive to the left sealed the possession for them. He’s not a good enough passer to dump it off to Giannis who was trailing on the empty side.
After that it was defensive master class by the Nuggets. Closing out hard, not missing your man and sealing the ball to one side despite the Bucks resetting with 5 out.
he should’ve cut hard to the rim after KPJ got the board, and tried to finish through Aaron Gordon and get fouled. he kind of took himself out of the play there at the end.

This is clearly the 2nd best in the NBA when everyone is fit. The only question will come down to whether they can beat OKC. Unlike last season they have a deep playoff bench to rely on now.

They’re literally the best. OKC doesn’t have a better 5-man lineup in any combination. They’re way too reliant on Shai saving them. Their real advantage is 6-15. When 1-8 is all that matters in a series.

yeah the defense doesnt show up a lot during the season but in the playoffs everybody locks in
And traditionally even in the reg season we had clutch defense, but not this season so much. Hard when you are missing some of your best defenders.
Yeah, their defense in the playoff is next level every season, so they simply chose not to play defense during the regular perhaps to reduce injury risks.
Its definitely helps to have 5 defensive minded players out there, and that line up is fairly long as well. There are more holes when Jokic and Murray are in the lineup, but even still, the Nuggets usually lock in defensively during clutch time or in the playoffs.
I’m not convinced this is much different than usual. Nuggets gave up multiple open looks on threes while scrambling like they normally do and Bucks just missed them or fumbled the pass. To me, this is just typical Nuggets fourth quarter defense with Aaron Gordon (maybe with a tad more effort).

Yeah, the way he filled up the stats today while he was awful from 2 drove it home for me. When PWat started to get going I was still on the fence because CB also had an insane stretch of 20pt games around this time last year, but Peyton just has a lot more weapons he can get to. I’d love to keep both, just a question now of if PWat can fit his new game into the lineup when everyone gets back. CB fits like a glove alongside Jok, Jamal and AG. Can’t have any complaints if Peyton decides to go explore his ceiling elsewhere though
Cam also fits like a glove. Peyton seems more of a fit as a wrecking machine on the bench.

As a Nuggets fan, I can confidently say I respect Giannis more than any other active basketball player. Ethical, respectable, hyper competitive, and a brick shit house of a player. So cool to be alive in this era of basketball with such generational talent.
