Coz they are tanking. If they want to they could do be competitive. Celtics has no JT and given up many players, but managed to be 2nd seed. Pacers could be a top 5 east team if they try but still very unlikely to be contenders. Might as well tank for next season when hali is back 100%

It’s not that it can’t work for any team, it’s that I don’t like it for our team specifically.

Davion/Herro/Norm is the starting three guard lineup.

The problem is that this lineup is worse offensively because Davion takes the ball out of Tyler/Norm’s hands too often. It’s also worse offensively because Norman is forced into playing SF, and he has to try and score vs those bigger wings.

It’s worse defensively too because Norman is forced to guard SF. Norm is not a SF, he’s a SG.

Forcing him up into SF hurts his game on both ends, and Davion handles the ball so much that both Tyler and Norm opportunities get limited anyway.

Davion as a super 6th man or 7th man who comes off the bench with energy and locks up his matchup is what I want to see us try. Then we can start Ware instead to help our size and rebounding.

Wiggins is one of our worst on-ball offensive players, him not getting touches is a boon. Wiggins ISO is one of the statistically worst offensive playcalls IN THE FUCKING LEAGUE this season.

Also, if you think Herro can magically cause Powell to brick every shot and produce multiple stupid turnovers - idk what to tell you honestly.

(and yes, there were multiple games in December where Powell played outright poorly and Herro wasn’t a part of the lineup, so even that argument doesn’t work)
