[Highlight] Bulls announcer shits on Nico Harrison & the Luka trade: “Wasn’t a trade. It was a robbery.”
If we didn’t get Flagg we would be so screwed that I don’t think we’d have a franchise in the near future.
They talked about that later. Adam Amin was like “could you imagine if they lost the coin flip? (with chicago) Where would they even be?”
And Stacey then gave a quip about it being a conspiracy and joked about Nico getting a job with the Lakers.
You “lucked” into the pick.
Yeah I personally think the franchise should be moved. You aren’t a serious team. How long did it take until he was finally fired?
That unserious team is one of the most successful franchises over the past 30 years
If one bad GM was grounds to move a franchise the Knicks, Wizzards, Hornets, Pelicans, Hawks, Clippers, Kings, Suns, Warriors, Lakers and so on wouldnt exist. I got tired of naming teams, but apart from maybe the Celtics pretty much every team had a very bad GM at one point.
Not just bad. Rotten. Makes the whole league look bad.
Fair enough, I agree, but plenty of owners do the same, but they literally own the league so nothing can be done.
Unless you dont pull a sterling and are openly racist you can do whatever you want as an owner. The aspiration stuff makes the league look worse than a moronic trade imho.
This is why I don’t think Mavs getting the top pick was a conspiracy. I think Adelson’s wanted to tank the franchise and move the team to Vegas, and didn’t expect to get the top pick.
But why would they do that instead of just buying an expansion spot for cheaper? They also currently don’t own anything in Vegas, they want to build a casino here in Dallas but there’s zero indication they’re trying to relocate; I agree there was no conspiracy, though
Ya I don’t think enough adds up for that whole move the team conspiracy. Seems like a whole lot of dumb things that at the very best maaaayybbbbee help move the team. Like who’s going to spend billions of dollars on an asset and then immediately tank that asset without a benefit that’s even really that likely to play out right
if you didn’t get Flagg, then Silver will give you Peterson/Dybantsa/Boozer
you guys really show your critical thinking skills when you talk about this “conspiracy” that gets disproven in 10 different ways using common sense.
Theres a gazillion reasons to hate Silver and you choose the only one which is a theory that instantly disproves itself once you look at what happened.
But go ahead tell me how Adam silver ordered Kyries ACL to be snatched from his knee in order to let the Mavs miss the playoffs.
Time to get back to bed gramps
No lies told
stacey king needs to stay as the bulls color commentator forever
I thank Adam Amin every game.. Stacey mentioned a few times he thought about retiring when Neil Funk retired but changed his mind when they hired Adam.
Great chemistry every game. Especially during blowouts when they start talking about random shit.
I always liked the Bulls commentator. He’s real as shit and he’s not annoying to listen to. A rare combination for a good commentators these days.
He is also fair to dish out blame and praise for all sides. The dude loves to make his homer calls but he doesn’t hesitate to heap praise on players regardless of their jersey.
Yeah stacy’s only flaws are that he occasionally gets homer-y on foul calls and does that thing 90s players do where they hyperfixate on physicality
No shit, still living through the nightmare
Bulls have one of the best announcer duos in the league and Stacey King is just hilarious
Please give me all the things and I will give you very little things is such a great way to put it.
Saying the league is rigged without saying it
Thats Adam Amin, and he isn’t just the Bulls announcer, he does national games for baseball and football for fox
It wasn’t a trade, it was and order by Adam Silver
Crazy how Stern and Silver let the Mavs have a superstar on the roster for 30 years before deciding that they no longer deserve one and the lakers should get him lmao.
The league that didnt allow CP3 to team up with Kobe (they had full right as they were the owners of the hornets back then) gave the lakers a superstar?
How about we stick to blaming Silver for things hes actually done instead of the silly conspiracies. Blaming him for these conspiracy theories makes the people forget all of the bad stuff he actually did and is helping him sweep it under the rug
Instead of crying how Silver gave the Lakers Luka/gave the Mavs flagg (both of which are ridiculous theories) lets hold him accountable for the aspiration fiasko thats trying to be hidden untill people forget. Even the shady reff stuff is a million times a million times more valid than a conspiracy that an idiot who has been an idiot his entire career made another idiotic move.
Not so long ago, people in this sub were getting upvoted saying that Nico was right afterall. Crazy.
who????
This is Nico’s legacy lmao. Absolute clown.
It’s not exactly shitting on someone if what you are saying is true
Nico legacy lives on.
One of the worst trades of all time
Bulls are one of the few teams that shouldn’t throw shade. There trade record has been utter shit for the most part.
it’s honestly a lose lose trade. luka is clearly not the player he once was and he’s not gonna win a championship unless he’s surrounded by 4 defensive demons. both teams got worse somehow, AD had issues but at least he fit well into LA and had a set role and synergy with bron
You say that like LeBron isn’t on the edge of retirement and like the lakers weren’t mediocre prior to the trade… Luka’s fit with LeBron is irrelevent. What’s relevant is they went from having a dismal future after their old and injury prone duo inevitably aged out to having a new playoff proven cornerstone to build around for the next 10 years.
IT was a fair trade. The mavericks got an all star and nba championship Antony Davis. The lakers got a great player with weight issues in return.
Coming from a Laker fan, I don’t know if it’s sarcasm or if this is for real. Lol
It’s real the mavericks got Anthony Davis and the first overall pick from that trade.
They did not get the first overall pick from that trade.
Unless you’re admitting the league is completely rigged.
You sound so stupid.
Well no the pick came from the Mavs sucking partially because kyrie got hurt. And Davis did too
If Kyrie doesn’t get hurt they aren’t in the lottery. Hell, it even required AD, Gaff, Lively, etc to also get injured. You can’t add Flagg to the trade and it’s still a shit trade even if you do.
More beer issues than weight, but of course they are related
LOLOLOLOLOOLOOOLOOOOOL
Yeah im so fucking tired of you lakers fans acting like it was fair, smart, or even a fair share of what Luka should get in return.
Dude, Mikal Bridges was 4 first round picks.
AD Is not equivalent to it in the slightest. You all act like this wasn’t the single worst and lopsided trade in history.
Everyone on earth thought Shams got hacked. Stop lying. So tired of this shit
R/Whoosh
Mikal was worth 4 picks because there wasn’t a player equivalent to trade him with. With the Luka trade. Davis was an all star in his own right. Luka has weight issues that put him on the level with Davis injuries.
Are you saying you believe that Luka and AD contribute the same to their teams?
Well if I’m being honest. Seeing Luka on the lakers. I think Luka is better than Davis but not by much. Luka just isn’t consistent on defense I think he picked that up from Dirk. Davis can put up numbers and be solid enough on Defense the whole game. That’s the main difference. Luka puts all his energy to offense it shows way better offensive player than AD . AD just manages to split his energy better.
But you also compared Lukas weight to AD getting injured which makes no sense to me. Luka is still playing while Davis has missed how many games already and set to miss more.
There is an absolute 0% chance AD is contributing anything close to Luka.
Fair point. That’s a plus on Luka in terms of whose better.
