Doc Rivers goes off on ICE: “What happened in Minnesota was a straight-up murder”
Man, only if we could get the football coaches to talk like this
More conservative fanbase, culture rooted in the military, and of course CTE
After what happened with Pat Tillman, I’m surprised more people around the NFL didn’t get sick of all the “ra ra military” bullshit.
I think a large majority of people have no idea about what really happened with Pat. They just assume he was KIA from an enemy.
I was in the service when this all went down. His story was well known to us at the time. It seems the Army found it best to not bring more attention to the situation.
Im not trying to sound negative but, as someone who came from a military town, the Army spends most of their efforts trying not to bring more attention to things. From My Lai to Fort Hood. Its almost cultural.
if I did some very shameful things in the past I would do my best not to talk about it either
Which is a great way not to learn from mistakes. Germany goes in the exact opposite direction about fascism and the holocaust. The fact that every NCO and officer aren’t taught about My Lai and that it might not have been an isolated incident is fucking tragic.
Every naval officer is taught about My Lai in ethics classes pre-commissioning. I honestly don’t know much about the army, but I’d be shocked if they don’t do the same.
It’s a different generation. I’m old enough to know, but my guess is if I were 20 years or younger I’d have no idea.
Would love to know more about this, if you’re open. What was the general consensus amongst yall at the time about it? Was it a “this has gotta be a coverup or something” thing, or was it just commonly accepted for a while he was KIAd by enemy fire? I’ve always wondered if this incident specifically was just over the line enough that it raised suspicion immediately, or if as more info came out, it made the Army just look worse and worse. Wasn’t following it closely when it happened so I’ve always been curious.
I was in Iraq during the invasion and Pat Tillman’s story came up quite a bit. It was just commonly understood among the troops that it was friendly fire. Friendly fire deaths are unfortunately not all that uncommon. What made it notable was his stature (and the fact that he walked away from real money to serve). We knew they weren’t going to talk about how he died publicly.
When you’re in a combat situation like we were, though, there’s not much focus on stuff like that. It would come up in passing but that’s about it. Also, we were fairly disconnected from the mainstream civilian discussions.
The documents show that a doctor who autopsied Tillman’s body was suspicious of the three gunshot wounds to the forehead. The doctor said he took the unusual step of calling the Army’s Human Resources Command and was rebuffed. He then asked an official at the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division if the CID would consider opening a criminal case.

I think that was the controversy doesn’t very much seem like friendly fire and more like an execution because they said he had to have been shot from a distance of less than 10 yards for that type of wound.
Not just “friendly fire”, dude was assassinated
He got fragged. Whether you think a high profile ex athlete getting killed is good for morale or not is a matter of perspective and opinion. At least for us it seemed kinda transparent.
If you’re interested in learning more about Pat Tillman and the circumstances surrounding his death, I highly recommend “Where Men Find Glory” by Jon Krakauer. He was a really thoughtful, interesting guy - a lot more than your stereotypical meathead. And it gets into detail about how his death by friendly fire came about, as well as the military coverup
Military has ramped up its partnership with the NFL since then. The only pushback would have been from the players union but they’re a lot more focused on dollars than social causes. Jake Plummer was pretty outspoken about it but I think the league had moved past when the reporting came out
DOD pays a lot of money to have the flag and national anthem bullshit before every game. It’s deliberate advertising
It’s so important people realize this. Before 9⁄11 the anthem wasn’t usually televised except in very high profile games like the Super Bowl or all-star games. The televised anthem in the NFL is a DOD paid advertisement.
Much cheaper to say “We support our troops” then pay for veterans healthcare 🤷
Cause commonly a lot of stuff is conveniently left out of that story.
Particularly:
“Specialist Russell Baer, who served alongside Tillman in Iraq, claimed he told him that the Iraq War was “so fucking illegal”.[23]”
And yet every Veterans Day they piss on Pat Tillmans grave to use his memory to recruit more dumbass poor kids to go kill even poorer kids half way across the globe, and give them violent PTSD and a drinking problem as a thank you.
The funeral is on YouTube,he’s brother says some very astute things that i also believe in.That is part if the reason,a family of nonconformists.
They probably did but you get crucified for speaking against “the troops” when you’re talking about the military overall.
Yup the military have to all be heroes even though it’s basically a regular job with a grueling orientation and most of them don’t do anything difficult and a lot of them do horrible shit. They ALSO do a lot of good overseas in times of crisis but boy does the menial bullshit and horrible bullshit outweigh to good they do.
They are also often one of the primary causes of whatever overseas crisis they may occasionally help to alleviate.
Look how they treated the players who took a knee during the anthem. They even tried beforehand to ensure kneeling wasn’t something veterans viewed as disrespectful to them.
That’s because certain people frame him an entirely different light than is reality and his brother hates them for it. Pat was an actual hero and was murdered by his fellow soldiers but they love to prop his death up as a “isn’t the military so cool and awesome” thing.
You mean how he was victim to friendly fire?
With gigantic air quotes around friendly fire
After speaking out and questioning the motivation of their military actions? Almost like the “friendly fire” was premeditated…. because generally the military doesn’t cover up friendly fire incidents if they weren’t questionable.
what u mean? they used his manslaughter as propaganda
Stop blaming concussions for people having shitty moral character. I played D1 ball. I likely have or will develop CTE. Concussions did not rewrite my moral code. These people were bound to be ghouls before they ever strapped their chin strap.
Brain damage absolutely impacts people’s personalities and opinions. There’s no reason to pretend it doesn’t. It doesn’t make people not responsible for their choices.
yeah if anything the machismo and testosterone/PEDs is more likely culprit.
i mean that same machismo is what makes them not wanna “be a bitch” and makes them play through concussions, which proves the point as well
The image of Chiefs fans booing the moment of silence for George Floyd will be burned into my brain as long as I live. I couldn’t do the NFL after that.
My dad bitches endlessly about about “democrats forcing politics in sports,” but has nothing to say about military flyovers at sporting events and will also side eye you if you don’t get off the couch when the national anthem starts.
Is this seriously a thing?
I’ll be the first to sing along proudly with my anthem in any public setting but I would LOL at anyone who stood up while watching at home.
CTE is not an excuse for being a terrible person…. I hate this narrative where if you do something wrong as a football player it must be CTE causing it… some people are just bad
Ding ding ding
NBA players and coaches can talk about this because it resonates more with the fanbase.
Tom Hermann basically lost his job because, among other things, he called out the Texas fanbase by saying his players were people they wouldn’t let into their homes or let their daughters date.
I’m sick of CTE being used as an excuse for bad behavior or stupidity. Particularly when it comes to the level of domestic violence of NFL players.
culture rooted in the military
This is post 9⁄11 propaganda bullshit by the way. Football had nothing to do with the military until the Iraq War when the NFL became a mouthpiece for American imperial propaganda.
Remember when kneeling during the national anthem was a big deal so the Chiefs held a moment of silence instead and the fans still booed? Maybe it wasn’t about disrespecting the national anthem. 🤔
the NFL is filled with conservatives, either due to their religion or “I got here, why can’t you?” mentality. college football is even worse somehow
Brains not fully developed until around age 25.
It’s not the players. It’s the wealthy, white coaches, boosters, officials, staff, etc with rural, conservative and religious ties that have that effect in college. If you’ve ever been to a fundraising event where the coaches do meet and greets with donors, it’s very obvious where the power lies.
Oh yeah, I went to a pep rally when I was in high school. There were so many prayers, lol. Preachers galore.
I mean hell, look at the whole Blind Side story. Some parts of Football culture feel like people trying to cling to the Antebellum or some shit.
that fact is from a decades-old study that has been debunked
there is no age or threshold at which the brain is considered “done” and stops developing
in healthy people, it seemingly keeps “growing” until old-age when it starts to atrophy along with everything else
This tracks with my personal experience because I definitely feel like a lot of my reasoning, communication, emotion control skills have developed more in my 30s
That’s assuming your brain isn’t pummeling the inside of your skull since you were 12.
NFL ran a solid QB out of the league for kneeling at the national anthem lmao
LOL, NFL hypocrisy on full display. If he was a top tier player, I guarantee you they would overlook that kneeling. Instead, they made an example out of him.
What happened to all the other guys who knelt? They still got to play.
If he was white nobody would give a fuck about it.
Racist PoSes
Kap was already washed, that maybe accelerated it a bit and stopped him from getting a bench spot, but he was done as a starter anyways
Teams are bringing back 45 year old dad-bod Phillip Rivers and giving minutes to the likes of Tyrod Taylor, Mason Rudolph, and Mitch Trubisky. Trey Lance is on a team rn and he cant complete a 10 yard pass.
Decent QBs are permanently in short supply and 2016 Kaepernick was better than a ton of other guys.
No one is saying he was still an automatic starter but if Mason Rudolph is still in the league Kap was good enough to stick around at least another 3 years. We can debate why but the point is that he was ejected from the league and that much is obvious.
I agree that he would probably be a good bench player that could get another opportunity if he rose to the occasion had it not been for politics
16 touchdowns and 4 interceptions his last season. The Niners had the worst defense in the league that year by a mile but Kap was solid
he wasnt great but there were worse qbs in the league.
nfl is filled with magats so i don’t think it’d work out
[deleted]
Football coaches would have to have virtues
Literally why I can’t get into Football. The people in charge are gutless if not evil.
The NBA isn’t perfect, but at least they’ll stand with and support civil rights. Yes, I’m aware of the HK and UAE controversies, but it’s an imperfect world. What other league will have nights celebrating Pride, Indigenous and other minority communities?
> What other league will have nights celebrating Pride, Indigenous and other minority communities?
The NHL, and that’s probably the most conservative league in North America lol
Most MLB teams have pride and heritage nights, tho it isn’t without occasional backlash.
The NFL put “End Racism” in the end zone, so ya know, problem solved /s
“I can’t believe he would kneel for the anthem like that”
Remember that we’re talking about the league that actually had to put a real statement saying they wouldn’t replace their Super Bowl halftime performer just because he sings in Spanish and because people don’t understand the Puerto Ricans are Americans.
Football players and coaches tend to come from areas that lean more conservative and whenever they speak out about injustice, the entire league, sponsors, and fans come crashing down on them. Look as how they did Kaepernick.
Wrong audience. Colin Kaepernick proved that.
I still want to fire him, but I respect him calling it out
I also am right about a lot of things… probably shouldn’t be a basketball coach…
Me: Guys ok, here’s the problem, you’re not making shots, you need to make more shots … also stop them …
-players look at each other ominously-
“Okay guys”
*pulls out the white board to write*
“You have to…score…more…points…than…the… other….team”
And I finish with an underline of those words delivered with a flourish.
Any questions?
“Stop them” is probably all Mazzulla says to his guys at this point
I could see him going on a 30 minute rant about how they need to show fire like the ferocious pistol shrimp.
Pistol Shrimp should be the name of the next expansion team
Doc is a real dude. He’s just a sub par coach. But I like him as a personality, especially when he’s not coaching my team. He’s good to listen to cause he’s usually a straight talker
I mean, he is a sub par NBA coach. Where 30 of the best head coaches of the world work. He is well above average of all the people doing his job
I feel like we all forget this. To be bad at this level you have to be incredible. Im like 2000 rated at chess, on the pro circut they would just throw me around like a rag doll, but I’m like top 100k on earth and top 50 in my state.
These guys are top 500 on earth. Totally different game.
It’s literally the Scal line just applying to coaches instead. And while Doc ain’t great, and I think the further we get from the 2000s he ages worse, he’s far from an abomination compared to his peers. This isn’t like an Urban in the NFL situation. His coaching career on paper is one of the better ones ever lol
Yeah Doc has always been outspoken and I respect that part separately from the coaching
Glenn is a decent human being but a mid coach
majority of us are mid at our jobs. It just be like that
Oddly comforting wisdom for a nba-sub
Need more people to suck at their jobs but be decent human beings
ready to check in, coach!
Fucking for real.
Fun thing about decent humans is that they’re also generally not bad at their jobs because they are going to try.
NBA HC just requires you to be literally the best in your field. Doc is also still probably one of the best 20 coaches in the NBA. He just shouldn’t be coaching a contender. If he was coaching a young team with no title hopes, he’d probably still pull them to more wins than they would expect
This is wisdom
Yup, and mid doesn’t mean useless. The world needs the mid to set a baseline for what the exceptional can achieve.
Also exceptional at your job gets you promoted until you reach a point where you’re likely at your correct level and then closer to mid.
You get promoted until you hit your ceiling, in a position you’re not good enough at to advance from, and one level above what you were good enough to advance to.
He’s like the optometrist that won an award his first few years on the job and keeps it displayed and he used to be invited to all the conferences but now its been awhile since
“Best Pizza in Town 2005”
So true 👏
If being mid feeds his family then good for him
He’s a floor raiser. If you have a terrible 22-60 team the year before, with a good draft and an okay free agency, he can make you a less embarrassing 33-49 team the next year.
His ceiling is and always will be, without a bevy of superstars, a 2nd round 5 game gentlemen’s sweep out the playoffs.
Give the guy some credit, his ceiling is a second round blown 3-1 lead.
That’s when he’s got at least one fairly healthy superstar lol.
When he played for the Knicks he was so kind to me during an autograph signing - it’s what pushed me into basketball.
Doc is a good dude.
Facts. There’s a comment above like “he’s an idiot no one cares what he thinks” and I think there’s a difference between being an idiot, and not being the best NBA coach
I get what you’re trying to say, but the comment about Rivers being ‘mid’ (even if true) isn’t really relevant to the seriousness of what he’s talking about. People do this a lot in this sub, but there’s no real need to qualify statements like that
Let’s see if the mods remove this one too
it’s so crazy watching mods follow made up internet rules when the actual constitution is pretty shaky rn lmao
Yep this needs to be plastered everywhere, not something you can escape. It doesn’t matter if its U.S politik. The rest of the gd world is eagerly waiting for U.S to kick facism and Dump off to the side, as U.S falling and becoming the 4th reich VERY obviously effects the entire world..
(all this to distract and protect from the fact the most powerful man in the world the U.S Pres is a verified pedo. fcking insane)
i totally get people are pissed how US centric this is and so how much of the entire site is but if things continue in such directions
this could be a major global problem and soon
It’s been a major global problem for over a decade.

The time to stop Hitler was before he invaded Europe.
Did they take down the Kerr one?
Reddits controlled heavily by the party in power and it’s saddening to see that. I see a lot of discussion posts about right wing fuckery(Epstein,ICE,Trump) that gets “Removed by moderators” as soon as it gains some engagement.
They must share some of the same mods as the Twolves subreddit lol
The reason people become mods is to force their agenda on everyone else. That’s the one thing I’ve learned from reddit.
It’s kind of transcended race ATP. Like even if Good wasn’t white, she was killed basically just for not complying and hurting the ego of the ICE Agent who has been emboldened to the point that he (likely accurately) believes he can just execute someone in the street over relatively minor provocation.
I think even conservative white republicans should be freaked out by this shit. You’re allowed to shit talk cops. I could see taking down her plate and sending her a court summons for the reckless driving, but shooting her multiple times is absolutely insane. People have lost their minds allowing themselves to be convinced that this is normal. We’re all just in deep shit now and with like 40% of the country thinking it’s acceptable its probably gunna accelerate.
What should freak out every american the most about this is the way Trump and his officials have been blatantly lying and smearing this woman’s image against the clear reality. All these people wish for is the moment they can murder anyone who opposes them with no repercussions, and this is them taking a meaningful step in that direction.
It’s always depressing that he managed to get reelected.
They’re not trying to hide that they murdered someone, they’re just trying to say she deserves it and this is how it’s going to be now. Don’t talk back
It’s really insane watching the schizoids on Twitter turning “white woman” into a racial slur
It’s the classic “It didn’t happen, but if it did happen they deserved it”
What does not freak me out is that this is how police treats non-whites in this country already.
An officer told me at 16 said, “I can ‘make shit up’ about you and they won’t do anything to me”.
Police brutality has been an issue in the US since forever, yes. And this definitely harpens to that due to the abuse of authority, but I don’t think there’s a point in equating both.
It’s more direct than the racism that is at play in police brutality. And you can know these are not the same thing because it’s not an issue that is just making white people ‘go through what people of color already go through’, it’s an issue that’s just adding along to the list of shit people go through everyday, and the people who suffer the most from it are, as always, people of color anyway
The most frustrating part is you then have people like Ben Shapiro that says incidents like this aren’t happening because they aren’t in the actual statistics reports, and it’s because it’s a lived experience he never had to go through.
Wonder how ole Benny boy is feeling now that the mob of right wing dipshits he helped cultivate is openly and proudly embracing antisemites (actual ones, not people that oppose Israel’s genocide) like Nick Fuentes and Candace Owens.
It was the easiest ICE PR situation ever given their reputation, but they still fumbled it. A simple “This is a tragedy and not what we stand for, we have the agent in custody and will investigate the situation to the fullest”
Instead they lied on multiple occasions, let the agent flee the scene, and then doubled down on shielding the guy who shot a soccer mom lmao.
They can’t let him stand trial because that means admitting that the citizens of blue states and blue cities have rights.
They can’t put him on trial because prosectors would use it to show just how untrained and unqualified ICE is. Right now the implication that they’re at least trained like typical law enforcement exists amongst the general public, when that’s nowhere near the truth. The regime needs that information buried as long as possible.
It won’t. They’re already pretending she was driving like that scene in Blues Brothers.
…not just shooting her, doing it from 3 feet away 3 times in the face…she wasn’t, “getting away”…
This is probably one of those guys that got into law enforcement because he was just itching at the chance to kill someone. Probably even failed the police screening, but ICE will take anyone.
I agree. A huge number of ICE are criminals themselves, unable to work in law enforcement anymore, except ICE has reduced qualifications so much that they are welcomed there. ICE is comprised of literal felons, rapists, spousal abusers, drug dealers, etc. Any upstanding citizen had a real life with a real career.
I hear about half who apply can’t run a 15 minute mile and get about a week of what might be considered training.
Comply or die is not freedom. Trump got us all fucked up.
She wasn’t even under arrest. They pulled a gun on her and her reaction was to get away. She then got called a domestic terrorist.
America really teaching people the word comply as though it is some magic fix to these interactions. Renee Good experienced the first hand experience POC have been dealing with since America became a country. Sad because no one should ever have to feel that way.
ICE can’t even arrest ppl unless it has to do with immigration. I say “can’t” from a legal prespective; they’re obviously arresting anyone they feel like for whatever reason they feel like bc the grand cheeto is going to back them no matter what
It transcends race but it’s still about race. There’s a reason why certain groups are first on the line. We need to stand with the most vulnerable now because they’re coming for all of us. It’s not about immigrants or criminals, it’s about diminishing PEOPLE’S rights, taking away all of our freedoms and ability to stand up for ourselves. It’s now or never and it’s not hard to see where it starts
Totally, race is why ICE came there in many ways.
I just think even if you’re a passionate racist, this should still scare you. Like you said, this is the government flexing its power over us commoners. The truly powerful in this country really don’t see color when thinking about us “small people”. We’re all really insects to them, and they give us the minimum level of rights we’ll accept and still participate in the system.
Absolutely, if you’re stupid enough to be racist it’s time to wake the fuck up and recognize you’re being used like a dumb bitch. They’re coming for your ass too
See, the thing is tho is that ICE doesn’t even have the jurisdiction to send a court summons to a US citizen. A state court would laugh at them, and there’s no way this could’ve been a federal offense.
But they don’t have the jurisdiction to do pretty much anything they are doing…(:
It’s transcended race in the sense that the fascist playbook is directed against “other” white people, but just like a missing white girl in the Caribbean, it’s only national news because Good was white.
Love to see people with a platform use it for good like this.
We need more of this. We should be putting more pressure upwards towards culture figures to speak up and come out. They need to be “radicalized” meaning see what is happening on the ground
Wild that people in this country, not only disagree with that statement, but claim the Renee Good is a domestic terrorist
A lot of the accounts saying that Good was a terrorist are neither people nor physically present in this country.
TrueAmericanPatriot1776 - account based in Indonesia
Encyclopedic knowledge of every crime ever committed by a black person or a Democrat but doesn’t know what the FICA tax is.
Thank you, we need this reminder when online. Sadly, I know some people in Minnesota who have parroted the administrations statements and are fully buying into the rhetoric.
Or they are straight bot accounts. I’m not one of the people to say “everyone whit disagrees with me is a bot” but some of their tweets will have the same language either fully copy paste or with like 2 words changed out
Been suspecting the same thing.
My go-to tactic for unmasking them is asking basic questions about US politics that aren’t about race or gender. None of these Lagos/Moscow/Tel Aviv mfers knows what the FICA tax cap is.
I don’t think that means a whole lot, these people are often just profoundly stupid.
The worst one of them I’ve dealt with the past few days is probably actually from my area.
Some of them are Americans sure.
People have a really hard time admitting they’re wrong. Especially when people around them double down too.
good. call them what the are
That final point about kids is so poignant… feels like young males in particular nowadays just have majority rubbish role models in the public sphere.
They’ve been targeted by horrible politicians in the last election, the manosphere on social media is toxic as fuck, economy poor etc. It really doesn’t look great for them.
Don’t forget the incessant gambling advertising directed at them as well. Just as they’re getting started in life and barely know how to handle money.
I read a good comment yesterday regarding gambling. “Don’t use your money as a toy.”
Right? Presidents used to have some class.
It’s hard to think of a worse possible role model for young kids in the US than Trump.
I’d take mccain, bush 2, hell even reagan over trump and its not particularly close.
I think the causation is actually backwards - the republican party has always had shit policies but the part where the shittiness is the entire point rather than a side quest is new. That is, I think the horrible politicians are a symptom and not the cause.
You dropped this 👑
for all Doc’s issues as a coach he’s always seemed like a really good dude and it honestly why he keeps getting jobs.
Fuck ICE. they are nothing but government sanctioned domestic terrorist and traitors
A man with two functioning eyes and a brain.
Just not when he’s coaching
Fair, lol. Shows how egregious this killing was.
Best thing about the NBA over the NFL is 99% of the coaches are based.
As non-american.
I always see the NFL as Disney Sports. Its too PR. Not to trying to be racist but its literally like a circus for white people.
great points by Doc, but his “role model” comment is something that is extremely important, but not many people touch on.
POTUS is supposed to be the highest, most respected position in the country. (Most) People teach their kids not to be assholes or bullies. But when you have the president (and all his cronies) act like that daily, how do you think our kids our going to turn out? I’m scared to see how the younger generation acts like in 10 years.
Yes, call it what it was.
It’s an unbelievable breath of fresh air to see that the NBA has reasonable outspoken people seeing that shitshow in comparison to the bullshit people need to see in other sports that have been coopted by Trumpism
UFC has become a literal propaganda machine, NFL is a shameful org, the 2026 WC is already a shitshow and it’s most likely going to get worst, the NBA is a pillar of american sports and people speaking out is necessary because it’s not like this shit will stop.
Fuck ICE.
Rivers is right. They just killed a white women in broad daylight in front of dozen of witnesses. If white people and Republicans think it won’t happen to them, they are wrong.
Doesn’t really matter. Civil disobedience is a constitutional right.
Nope. Tells me a lot of about how much Doc knows what happened.
Respect to Doc for speaking on this.
The point he makes about kids is solid. Im 34 and when I was in elementary and middle school the president was absolutely a role model and it is scary to think that there are kids that see Trump as one now.
ICE is America’s Gestapo. It’s a clear 1 to 1 comparison.
Fuck ICE
Mods cannot lock this.
Its nba related, he said it were discussing it
Nba coaches are doing this why can’t the NFL ones
“Trying to go home” lol. Good one, doc
Thank you, coach. More like you.
To everyone who saw the video or has been paying attention to whats on going on in this country, know that it will not stop unless we stop it. The admin has already come out with propaganda defending the murder yesterday and will likely do so again today.
We all have to ask ourselves the following questions in light of the overwhelming evidence of abuse.
Do you trust the federal government to protect you?
Do you believe that this administration is specifically targeting groups of people?
Do you trust in the courts ability to protect you with the established laws of the country?
Do you believe that federal law enforcement is currently respecting our rights as guaranteed to us by The Constitution?
If a federal officer was targeting you and breaking the law, do you think that local or state law enforcement would stop them to protect you?
Do you trust the elected representatives of your party to defend you?
Do you think anyone else will come to your rescue?
Do you believe in equal rights for all people’s and would you fight to defend those rights from an unjust force?
Are you in a position to defend yourself if others won’t fight for you?
Who benefits more from you being unarmed during these times?
Realize that saying you are unwilling to fight for your rights is the same as saying you are fine to live without them.
For now we have to prepare for whatever may come. Realize no one can do this alone so make or join communities.
Organize, protest, prepare, and resist.
I wouldn’t trust a single person associated with the current government, and I say that as a straight white man. I can’t imagine how scared I’d be to be any other demographic right now
Amen!
ABOLISH ICE
At the end of the day, someone died and its still fucked up..
Absolute W from Doc
Say it how it is. Renee Good was murdered
They’re making NFL coaches look like puuuusssies.
Doc has always been good about this sort of thing and I’m very grateful for his willingness to be so outspoken—especially about this.
Fuck ice
It’s shameful the NBA coaches speak out against this bullshit more than our elected representatives
100% Fuck ICE
It definitely started as a war on brown people, but I think it is slowly turning into ICE believing they have free will to commit domestic terrorism on any person in the United States, citizen or non-citizen, white, black, brown, anybody. We are fostering a government entity that has supreme authority to commit murder with little to no consequence or due process. It is a fucking mess
Well said by Doc
She was white though…
exactly.. How is this a “race” thing? She was white
ICE is acting like this because the government is gripped by schizophrenic racial hysteria about immigrants.
It’s a race thing because race is the whole reason ICE is there.
The reason ice showed up in force was in response to a viral video about Somalian immigrants perpetrating daycare fraud.
Instead of sending the IRS to investigate, they sent in the brown shirts to terrorize the community
Everyone with any kind of platform or position of power should be shouting this from the hilltops
It’s way past time for Americans to march on Washington
Most I’ve ever liked Doc Rivers since he came to the Bucks.. Not that I’ve actively disliked him so much as not seen much of him for various reasons. Seeing him speak truth here is gratifying.
These courageous NBA coaches should unite this and form some sort of group moving forward to issue statements together. Strength in numbers. Same with the patriotic artists cancelling the Kennedy Center and other groups of artists amongst their peers, in each genre or banding together.
I’m a bluegrass fan, proud of Bela Fleck right now for his stance, would LOVE to see other Nashville area artists form a group to make their voices heard about this Nazi-Pedo US takeover attempt.
