I am just happy that December is over and curry didn’t have a horrid one. Usually the jan to April stretch is when he is at his best in the regular season while December is his worst month.

He’s fucking built too. Thick and man made. You can tell he’s sculpted because you can see it thru the shorts. His fucking vice grip thighs. Suffocating thighs. Rock hard thighs. Piping hot thighs. Great arms. Great abs. A stocky chest. Love the progress his body has made throughout his youth and now as a willing eager veteran riding into the sunset.

I know because of my flair people will say I’m just being biased, but if you’ve watched him a lot this season, then you know how pretty fucking absurd it is to still do what he does despite how he is being defended. He’s getting killed out there.

I dunno how or why this seems to happen consistently with Steph ngl. He obviously doesn’t have a massive PR machine behind him trying to keep him relevant even though he’s in some sort of a second prime right now.

Yep. He’s quietly having a significantly better season than the last 2 years, but looking at his stats post-Jimmy trade to end last year it makes sense. This is what he was doing to end last season with Jimmy.

I don’t know if it’s just how little I paid attention to everything happening in the league in past seasons, or if there is something crazy actually happening, but the last couple of years have felt nuts. SO many dudes having insane seasons and blowing away the competition it feels impossible to pick out the best of them. Almost every team seems like they have crazy potential compared to past years, feels like a great time to be a fan.

How is Steph underrated? Everyone loves him and everyone says he’s still elite. His team is a .500 team. What do you expect?

Truth be told, happy he’s healthy. Overuse injuries are an unfortunate consequence of the competition. I hope young players take care to rest. When you’re older, you’re more experienced with your body tricks n’ mechanics. Maybe the league could consider progressive ideas that may protect their players?

Steve getting so much flack recently for like messing up rotations and wtvr but he deserves so much credit for being very measured with Steph’s minutes early into his career. I will 100% die on the hill that Kerr knowing that the extra miles of overplaying him to win regular season games in November wasn’t worth the longevity he’s showing now.

It robbed us of Steph probably having a few more records but I will absolutely trade that for him still being an All-NBA talent at 37.

People are always going to judge individual performances based on team results. You may disagree with it, but that’s just how it is. So Curry’s season is only going to be noteworthy if he can lead this team somewhere, which is a slim chance given this sorry ass roster.

It’s because all the talking heads write off Golden State because they’re old. It’s the easiest way to discuss them. The reality is that the old guys still have it (though Draymond is exposed on a limited offense) and the young guys can’t be relied on. Their roster construction is also absurd. They built a team that’s half made up of questionable to mediocre undersized guards.

The refs definitely don’t think he’s a star. He gets a worse whistle than most players coming off the bench.

Curry has been pretty ironically underrated even since 2017, people all accepted his one of the best player in the league but nobody was putting him in front of KD and LeBron, even guys like Harden Giannis and Kawhi was considered better, he was never in the MVP conversations despite average MVP numbers times after times with the record to show it and made first all nba only twice since then

The year 37 yo Steph is ironically very similar to the year 37 yo LeBron had, both scoring incredibly well but their teams are old and wasting their greatness

TBH he’s always been underrated because of his style of play. His off ball movement creates so many advantages for the offense that will never show up in the stat sheet.

Why were stats inflated in 2023?

I remember lonzo ball doing his different shoe sneakers rotation during summer league, it was the hot topic of the whole summer league. Each shoe rotation makes the top 5 posts of the day.

Steph does it and it’s in the background majority of the time.

Idk if this is a hot take but I think current Steph is the best player he’s ever been. He was a (very slightly) more dangerous shooter during his ~‘14-‘19 peak, especially relative to the rest of the league, but with all the strength he’s added in the past few years it’s way harder to knock him off his spots with physical defense or take him out of the game with double teams, which imo accounted for some of his playoff “struggles” during those years. It really is a shame they haven’t managed to put an above-average supporting cast around him since the ‘22 championship year, cause I think he’s been good enough to lead a team to a championship each of those seasons as long as he could stay healthy and has decent complementary pieces around him

I was at the Game was Charlotte and it is insane the way He still gets defended offball. He is being hugged and grabbed even when Standing in a corner 50ft away from the action. I dont know If there ever was a Player His age with that Kind of gravity

He’s properly rated and gets talked about all the time. His team 18-16 and 8th in the west, so he’s obviously not going to be in any MVP talks.

I’m a Warriors fan and I love Steph. But unlike most fans, I actually watch every game.

As good as Steph’s numbers look this year, he has ben TERRIBLE in clutch games (which we lead the league in clutch games played), and has been especially bad the last 2 minutes of tight games.

He has also been committing a lot of turnovers, and frequently these turnovers are both unforced and in clutch minutes.

Most of his big games this season have been losses because he didn’t hit the shots when they mattered most at the end of tight games.

Plenty of fans will say it’s because he doesn’t have a good supporting cast, but our bench has been mostly great all year and tends to have a better plus/minus than the main starting 5.

When you’re playing so many clutch games, your superstar has to win those games. He hasn’t. Still time to turn things around though.

If you were watching in the 90s or 2000s you’ll surely think everyone’s stats are inflated. A 15ppg scorer then is scoring around 25 now

He drops 40+ once a week. He is not underrated lol

He’s playing good but GS sucks so it really doesn’t matter. It’s not like him averaging that many points has led to them winning a ton of games.
