It’s one thing if a guy causes a breakdown and kicks out to an open shooter, it’s a complete different issue when a guy is forcing a heavily contested 3. Especially a poor 3pt shooter, and making it a more difficult step back shot.
Especially if he’s being guarded by a good defender. I understand maybe he doesn’t have the size advantage to drive on him vs if a smaller wing or guard but still someone gotta have a better look right?
Down 2 is understandable if you can get a decent look. Gotta go for the win in that context.
They always do this. They keep trying to force Paolo into this clutch player but every single time it just ends up with a bricked jumper. The one time we actually ran a play to get Desmond a shot he won the game.
Not even a screen action to get Paolo a middie. Id understand that iso if its durant or Luka but Paolo is the least threatening if picked up way above the three point line with 6 secs on the clock lol

If there was ever a good time for Paolo to take one of his favorite dumb midrange jumpers this would have been it, even a mediocre 40% midrange shot would have been better than taking a 3 down 1 considering he’s shooting 23% from there this season.
Honestly this is one of those times where I won’t give Paolo too much of the blame because the coach did nothing to help him if the plan was to give him the ball. Creating almost zero movement inside the 3pt line allowed Scottie to just plant himself in front of Paolo with no clear driving or passing lane to find in six seconds.

He just always does that. I think it’s just a lack of processing counters. They clearly broke up whatever the play was and was just not able to see what the next play should’ve been. Frustrating. But still young player, young season. Mosley is on the hot seat this summer

magic late game coaching is fucking awful. paolo shouldn’t have had the ball. and i am still irked by the game where they let kd go one on 1 with no help in the middle of the floor.
Mosely was a nice coach while everyone was young. He’s not the guy to get them to the next level. Every year we have injuries that buys him and the front office an extra year. Need to just move on and get someone better.
