Norman Powell interrupts Bam’s postgame interview and asked the reporters why they talking to him when he didn’t play.
“What we doin” man I would love to have Powell on my squad after watching this lmao straight hooper and a straight up human
I think that comes from Kyle Lowry.
Back when the Raptors were rolling, Kyle would ask the media to interview Norman.
It’s been his whole career. This stuff is just fun and shit talking but I hope there’s no hurt feelings behind the laughter since it’s been a common theme in his career and why he’s never stuck around.
I doubt this is why he’s never stuck around lol.
He’s moved from team to team because he’s good enough to command decent trade value and significant money, but was a bit of a late bloomer and not good enough to be viewed as an indispensable star.
Personally, I think the Raptors made a mistake in trading him, and the Clippers should also have kept him. He’s a really good player who just needed a chance to show that.
IIRC the Raptors traded Norm for Gary Trent Jr. because they didn’t want to pay him long-term. The idea behind Gary Trent Jr. was that he’d be a younger version of Norm, with room to grow into an even better player. Instead, they ended up paying GTJ roughly the same money anyway, and he never came close to giving the same efficiency or scoring Norm did.
Youre missing the trail blazers stint as well. Hes had breakout performances with all of the teams listed and everyone repeating the same message each time. Hes not a team cancer who demands out, hes been chill each time besides those PG digs. If i was a coach i would still check in on him, just as good business.
I kind of thought Portland wasn’t as good of a fit for him, but yes, that can be included, too.
He’s been very good on every team, but there has long been the sense that he’s a bit too old to fit a rebuilding team’s timeline, and not quite good enough to command significant salary on a contender.
He effectively always plays well enough to price himself out of the teams he plays for, but not quite exceptional enough to make them commit longer term given his age.
I think he deserved that commitment. He’s really good and has shown that for a while now. But I can also see why he’s one of those pieces that’s highly sought after, but not quite a part of a franchise’s “untradeable” core.
If you ever want to feel some emotions, check out his players’ tribune after we traded him. Still wish that had never happened but I’m happy to see him thriving
Side note, I recently noticed Norm looks a hell of a lot like a smaller Andre Drummond lol
bro listen bro
I said that
They was hoopin
Nobody is getting chocolate chip cookies on the next plane ride. NOBODY.
What’s the context here?
Lebron left cause Pat Riley took his cookies away
Cookies are for closers
Explains why LeBron took his steak knives to Cleveland.
Steak is also for closers
finally the truth comes out
The final straw for Lebron leaving the heat was apparently that they wouldn’t let him eat cookies on the plane
A man’s gotta draw the line somewhere
A man’s gotta have a code.
A chocolate chip code. Call it a chode.
LeChode
ChocLechip was right there
but I got a lechode right here for ya
They was pooping bro
damn bro they didnt even wipe!
I’m just going to assume some of you all are being sarcastic to keep my faith in your mental capacity
His face is priceless. You can literally see the vindication plain as day, and that hand gesture that just screams “ I KNOW RIGHT!”.
This is what every minimum wage employee looks like when a customer asks to see their manager, and then the manager comes out and tells the customer the EXACT same thing that the employee just told them. “BRUH I SAID THAT!”
But like seriously, why?
If they didn’t play, they shouldn’t be on the hook for media. Just tell them no.
my guess is this one specific heat reporter wanted to ask some bs like “how does it feel that the heat r on a winning streak without u and tyler”. hate that fker
Ira’s fucking “how does it feel…” “what does it say that…” questions
see? ppl know who the fk im talking about without me even saying his name, he’s such an ass lol
Ira. lol.
It is because Bam is the captain and is always the one to take accountability, especially in losses. He is the face. He agrees with Norm - they want to talk with him, he’s like “why, I didn’t even play” but does it anyway because he was asked. Then is trolled by Norm. It’s good stuff, actually.
Norm’s great, lol
Damn its sounding like “Heat culture” is fallin apart in that locker room.
Might be time for Pat to hand out some chocolate chip cookies
Time to call up Udonis for a 10 day
Wot
I don’t understand why The Clippers didn’t keep him
Easy. Clippers
I don’t understand The Clippers
i want norm to get an all-star selection so bad. he deserves it.
me too.
Heat culture getting too hot 🔥
Norm is too funny, embrace the grind.
Heat Culchah 🤩🤩
Thank you, Norm! 🤣
But seriously - we love Norm. He wants Dru and Pelle to get media and he’s right - they deserve it.

You all don’t fuck around with your colleagues and team mates?
Ohh coming from the culture where they teaching to finger pop each other’s booty holes
I am convinced that you all have never been part of a team for anything.
These nephews don’t have friends lol they don’t understand banter
Bruh I feel like I’m taking crazy pills, how r some of these comments so upvoted
Nah, you can tell when things are a joke and when they aren’t. Powell sounded annoyed that he was getting interviewed and Bam was kinda givin him subtle attitude.
I wish I analysed my course material the way you guys analyse these videos.
Then again, maybe not because interesting conclusions.
I love Reddit man, you can be completely wrong about everything but actually it’s everybody else who’s stupid for being right
So happy for you
might be right, and you can see bam mightve taken it that way by asking “if you wanted wanted media” etc, then norm acts like he doesn’t when he does and then maybe brings up other guys to look like the good teammate lol and i mean the way his voice sounds would be consistent with that. And bam is the captain, been there for a minute, of course he’s gonna get media regardless, especially from the homer media, they look to him to give them insight. norm is supposed to see that. And, bam is already getting heat for his play. You not supposed to say something that further delegitimizes his standing while bam is already getting heat for his play and overall skill, but maybe you do that if you also happen to agree. and hence question why he’s getting interviewed lmao 99% guarantee norm believes he’s the most skilled on the team
saying something like this is fracturing, and results in guys being pitted against each other (their own captain lol) that ain’t even trying to be on that type of time. theyre cool with being role players, at least for the time being (norm isnt lol). if you gonna do something like this you gotta do it better, direct it more at the media, shit sounded more directed at bam, and bam dont be searching for media attention. if I had to say anything, i would say norm has to do better
It sounded like Powell was teasing him in a friendly way, but with a valid point behind it.
Any criticism is of the media though, not of Bam. It’s obviously not his fault reporters are choosing to interview him. And neither Powell nor any other reasonable person is seriously blaming him for that.
Edit: I’m not sure of the rules; maybe, since he didn’t play, he could decline media questions. But regardless, Norm is clearly just kidding him while making a legitimate point.
Heat Culture getting a bit spicy
