i’m biased but i think dwyane is decent. nothing unbearable, nothing spectacular
I really started to notice his complete lack of charisma when he hosted that cube gameshow. I only watched a few episodes, but it was really hard watching D Wade try to carry an entire episode himself.

He gets a lot of hate but I can’t stand the basketball he plays. Doesn’t even attempt to play defense and chucks 3s or calls for picks and screens to try and drive or gets a open man when the other team is expecting him to chuck one so the double him.

Straight up not true. He’s at his best, and clearly enjoys, playing as a connector with amazing passing vision.
The team was so garbage the last couple of years, with 0 offensive scheme, that taking difficult contested 3s was the least bad option. But in his first two years, when he was an all-star, he was a pass first playmaker. He’s capable of readjusting his shot selection.
But you don’t know any of that because you just watch LaMelo highlights and parrot comment section takes.

Miles and Sexton aside, the core of the team is all 24 and younger. There is a world where they keep developing together for the next 4 or 5 years and hit a prime together. There is also a world where they don’t develop at all though.

On paper he does, and I think we’ll move him for a decent price, but I also think whoever takes him will regret it. His stats are super empty and his best games are often the Hornets’ worst overall outings
It’s crazy that LaMelo hasn’t really changed the way he’s played since having free reign to do whatever he wants back in Chino Hills, yet he’s still a starting-level player. I just don’t think how he plays will get him to lead a team far in the post-season.
