That’s why they are always gonna be considered contenders in Jokic’s prime. They always play up to their competition, even when missing multiple players.

If they are healthy in April they are the favorites to me at this point. I know OKC, Houston, and San Antonio are formidable but only one team has Jokic. I tend to put my money on the best player on the court if the teams are relatively close.

this is an absolutely perfect encapsulation of the nuggets season.

Before tonight they were giving up 112 points in wins and 128 in losses but their offense was scoring 128 in wins and 122 in losses. If they take the defensive side of the ball somewhat seriously then they will cruise to the title with how good Jokic and Murray are playing.

I think the nuggets, Jokic and Murray especially, don’t think they need to play any defense against bad teams. Like Jokic’s defense against the rockets and wolves vs the games they lost against the bulls and kings is absolutely night and day. It’s the other side of them being really clutch and playing great in big moments. They sometimes suck when it doesn’t matter.

That bodes well for playoffs…

Classic Nuggets experience

Good old regular season Nuggets, they can win ANY game and lose ANY game. At least now they can trust more bench players to deal with injuries. Of course, having 3 starters out it going to make it a lot harder to win.

This is one of the reasons why the Nuggets having a “Weak SOS so far” is kind of a misnomer–they love to lose games against bad teams they should be able to put away.

A good Celtics team? I got the Nuggets by 8ish. The fucking Washington Wizards … Nuggets lose by 7.

People were a bit out of control there for a while, thinking OKC was far ahead of the pack due to their fast start and very weak schedule. Now they’re 2-4 in their last 6 games, 6-4 in their last 10, while the Spurs are 9-1, and the Nuggets are 8-2 with multiple starters injured. There’s much more parity than some people think.

Jokic really try’s to expend the exact amount of energy to win and it backfires often against the bottom of the barrel. Is what it is I guess.
