I can’t remember what it was but I remember a few years ago ESPN did something like this where they made a Toy Story version of an NFL game. Some cable providers were in a standoff with ESPN and as a result ESPN wasn’t actually showing in some areas, but the Disney-ized version was available for streaming, so people with certain cable companies could only watch the game in like Toy Story form or whatever.

My 6yo had no interest in this game until I changed channels to this in the second quarter, and she spent the rest of the game glued to the tv. There’s something about animation that locks in kids attention in a way that is almost scary.
