Seeing this joy on their faces makes me realize how young these kids really are and that while we say 20-25 is “old” for NBA players they are literally just kids at heart. (I’m 44 btw, so like old enough to have kids near their 20s).

A lot of athletes careers are over by their early to mid thirties. So a lot of these guys are basically halfway through their careers.

yeah but the social media prevalent, cultural term “unc” isn’t even based on one having a niece/nephew. it’s just that because uncles are assumed to be older within the collective imagination that the term “unc” now denotes anyone (well, men anyway) considered to be old and since the people likely to being using these terms are teenagers, that means guys in their 20s, especially mid 20s and beyond, are called uncs. However, even people within the latter age groups will call men in their 40s and beyond “uncs”, as Gen Z is getting older but they’re not relinquishing their slang as they do.

20-25 is def still a kid i think, especially for a male. Im 41. I was still a kid then. I think the official adult age should be 25, not 18. I think i’ve read that’s when male brains are fully formed even, or evolved (25). Of course, many of us are kids at heart forever.

May be off topic, but 40 years ago, you could not have more than one remote controlled car near each other because the transmitters would interfere with each other. I should have expected technology to solve that problem by now, but there were so many cars that had their own frequency. That is what impressed me. Nobody was controlling someone else’s car.
