This has happened a few times over the last few years during rehab stretches, or when heās playing injured. I think it hurts and then heās like oh shit, then gets a few minutes to test it, realizes heās fine, and heads back out. Unfortunately it also happens where he disappears for months and needs fifty surgeries so itās always tough to say.
My personal anecdote as someone who has a massive chunk of my meniscus missing as well is that any contact to that part of your knee where your meniscus used to be sends an intense and shocking pain for a minute or 2. So like whether itās bumping that part of your knee into something or knee to knee contact in the wrong spot is feels super weird. I think itās because the meniscus is a shock absorber so whatever tissue thatās behind it is super sensitive as it wouldnāt naturally ever be bumped into if you had a meniscus there.
