Los Angeles Clippers Rejecting Trade Offers For Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, Ivica Zubac, believing they can make a run toward the postseason once they get Derrick Jones Jr. back
The Los Angeles Clippers are rejecting trade offers for Kawhi Leonard, James Harden and Ivica Zubac, NBA sources told DallasHoopsJournal.
The Clippers are 6-20. They are in 14th place in the Western Conference standings, but since their 2026 first-round pick goes to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the front office doesn’t want to blow up the roster, sources said.
LAC still believes it can make a run for a play-in spot once forward Derrick Jones Jr. comes back from his knee injury, sources said.
Leonard is making $50 million this season. He’s averaging 25.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game while shooting 48.7% from the field, 37.1% from beyond the arc and 97.4% from the free-throw line in 16 games.
Harden is making $39.2 million this season. He’s averaging 26.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 8.1 assists per game while shooting 44.0% from the floor, 37.6% from 3 and 88.5% from the foul line in 25 games.
Finally, Zubac is making $18.1 million this season. He’s averaging 16.2 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 61.3% from the field and 69.9% from the free-throw line in 26 games.
The Clippers are 27th in the NBA in points per game, 19th in points per game allowed, 22nd in offensive rating, 26th in defensive rating and 24th in net rating.
LAC hasn’t missed the playoffs since 2022. The Leonard era has been severely underwhelming, as the franchise has only made the Western Conference Finals once.
Leonard joined the Clippers in 2019. LAC blew a 3-1 series lead to the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the 2020 playoffs at the Walt Disney World bubble.
