1 [Highlight] INSANE SEQUENCE AT THE 4Q OF HOU/DEN! JOKIĆ 3. SHEPPARD 3. JONES 3. DURANT 3.
Should’ve started this a minute earlier. Joker banged the fuck out of Sengun in the post for 2 and then Sengun came right back for a mid range right over him. The sequence was fucking nuts.
That was fun. Jokic always comes to play and Sengun showed up tonight. West is loaded. Crazy we’re on track for a semis clash and Spurs are just starting to get healthy
It’s kinda unfair how much more stacked the west is than the east lol.
imagine if Giannis somehow gets to a Western team. The top 5, arguably up to top 7 players will be in the West
I get why having conferences makes sense for regular season games, but playoffs should ignore conferences and just seed the 16 best teams into a bracket.
That’d be wild. So much more room for crazy fuckery with teams who don’t know each other.
Yea, after a 25 year run of mediocrity the East should lose its status as an equal. It’s dumb how imbalanced it has been and currently is.
For sure, I honestly think the 4 scariest teams in the league right now are the Thunder, Nuggets, Rockets and Spurs. The east isn’t even close to being close - like as a Raps fan, us being 3rd in the east says a lot about just how weak the east is.
Id take us over the Spurs and on par with the Rockets
Hell no
The ass beating you’re taking tonight will solidify why you’re both below us and the Rockets.
Tell me about it.. 7-1 W/L streak and still 6th seed 😭
Stephon Castle might be their best player this season .. but they are gonna be raw in the post-season
Joker did what now, nephew?!
Aaayooo
The Jokic came back from that to hit a 3
Refs saw this and thought “lets get in there and make this about us”
On that, we can agree. Was an amazing fucking game but the refs kept fucking around for some reason. One second they let both teams play physical the next, no breathing on each other.
Finally a rationale rocket fan lol. I’m just thankful both teams didn’t let the crazy whistle disrupt the play. That was a fun game
If ya’ll had hit a game winner on the final possession I wouldn’t have even have been mad. It was back and forth all game and whoever makes the last shot gets it.
This though… this was some BS.
Agreed, we’ve had a couple close ones where we were the ones who got fucked by the refs so I’m gonna take it but yall deserved it.
tbf most teams in the nba have had horrible ref ball nights, even the Lakers, which is insane. The only team you can point to that hasn’t had one of these nights is OKC, but even that is mostly just because they’re so dominant that a couple of bad calls by refs don’t affect the game that much.
The NBA really needs to do a deep cleanse of their reffing staff
A very sad thing happened last night in Denver. Kevin Durant, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented MVP, has lost in OT, together with his teammate, Alperen, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as REF DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as RDS. He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of Crew Chief Zach Zarba , with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the National Basketball Referees Association surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before. May Kevin and Alperen rest in peace!
Took me a sec but this was good
This matchup would hit like crack in the playoffs
Denver won without half standard rotation.
We’re missing our starting PG FVV and DFS.
And Tari
And our 6th man lol
I mean we were missing two starters to start the game (Aaron Gordon and Christian Braun), then our 6th man who was starting in place of AG (P-Wat) got injured a few minutes into the game, then Val (Jokic’s backup) fouled out, then Jokic fouled out, lol.
Jamal Murray and Cam Johnson were literally our only two starters left by the end, and our best two bench players were also out.
Is FVV getting back this year? I thought he was likely out the whole year, or do they think he has a chance to make it back for playoffs?
typically takes 1 year to recover. might be physically ready sooner but players take time to be “game-ready” so unlikely.
FVV is extremely unlikely to come back this season.
fvv isn’t playing in the playoffs either
Rockets are still stacked, especially with KD playing like this.
Nuggets are missing Aaron Gordon and so far they’ve won their last 2 matchups
Last season we were 3-1 va Nuggets and 2-2 vs OKC but we still got bounced in the first round. This season, we just need to be ready come playoff time. I’m less concerned about H2H results in reg season.
AG is more valuable than all these guys combined
Are you implying that DFS as is as important as AG to Nuggets lol ?
I mean I’ve talked to nuggets fans and it seems like the whole team is buns outside of Jokic so idk
Rockets are missing Eason, DFS, and FVV.
And without several of the main backups
You also lost to the Kings dude, what now you gonna lose to them in the playoffs or something? 2-3 years ago the Suns swept the Wolves in the regular season and got swept in the playoffs by them. It doesn’t mean shit lol, especially when both games were like 1 possesion losses
Zach Zarba is a good enough sub for AG, don’t worry about it
CB and PWat would like a word
Okc vs Spurs and Rockets vs Nuggets would be great matchups for the semis
Considering the Nuggets managed to win this game without Jokic (fouled out near the end), his backup Val (fouled out halfway through the 4th) Aaron Gordon, P-Wat (our best bench player and AG’s backup, got injured early in the game), and Christian Braun, I’d take that matchup.
This was the best part of the game.
Then we got a bunch of weird fouls, weird fouls and more weird fouls
Some Deja vu from the spurs game
That helped nuggets. That clumsy hardaway tripping on his own feet and getting a FT to tie the game was outrageous
https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/s/6oRTgQzgxz
Yeah clearly a foul there buddy. Sucks for sure, Amen shouldn’t have tripped him.
Definitely a foul. It is what it is.
These marginal losses I’m OK with tbh. Obvs would prefer a win, but similar to the opening night loss to OKC that went to double OT, not much negative to take out of the game. We went toe to toe with each other and a marginal detail went in your favour. That shit happens. Next time hopefully we take the W against you.
I visited the Rockets sub and you lot are about to lose your god damn minds denying that was actually a foul. You are downvoting any Rockets fans who are posting the video that shows THJ was actually fouled and then bitching about the refs. Insane.
Jones have been huge this game. I didn’t know he existed before watching this game. And his 3 point shot form is ugly as hell
Ugliest shot in the league but shooting 40% from deep it’s kinda wild
He’s been an elite shooter everywhere he’s been too lmao. Makes no sense, but eh if it goes in it goes in
Sheppard got the balls to take that shot despite not having a good shooting night. Dude is a dawg.
Reed “Great Clips” Sheppard always out here cooking us from 3
That pass to Spencer Jones is why laughed out loud when i saw that article saying Jokic isnt as selfless a player as SGA.
I dont want to start a whole SGA vs Jokic thing, but something ive always felt is that Jokic, more than any other superstar in the NBA, would pass the ball to a teammate if they had a better shot. Even sometimes to his detriment. It can both be amazing and frustrating at times.
Yeah, they asked him about that one time and he said something to the effect of scoring only makes one person happy, but an assist to someone else who scores makes two people happy.
The Nuggets really feed off that selflessness too. When your best player sacrifices to get others involved that sets the standard for everyone. If he can do it, everyone can do it. The other day they asked THJ why he likes it there in Denver and he said “everybody eats here.”
There’s an article that states someone averaging 10+ assists as selfish?
Yes. As you’d expect, it’s written by someone with the IQ of a mouldy potato who doesn’t understand the rules of basketball.
No, the article didn’t call Jokic selfish. It just glazed SGA as the least selfish superstar in the league, and the only one where the teammates feel like he trusts them enough to hand over the ball instead of shoot.
Well, he is playing the game right, in a sense that he’ll hunt the most valued shot in that moment.
It’s annoying sometimes that he’ll pass to a bricklayer for an open three, because it’s the right thing to do at that moment.
Like, coaching or team construction is not my job. Deal with it.

Who on what planet would say this, lol
I kept audibly saying holy shit 4 times in a row
Yeah his jumpshot looks like a broken Temu Draymond lol. But he’s shooting like 40% so… keep firing!
Two way player, the Nuggets will for sure extend him. He’s a dawg on D. He’s made some mistakes this year fouling before the inbounds due to being just so up into people. He’s learning though! Pretty great find. And Adelman really likes him.
His form hurts to watch, but it works okay somehow
Intense game, easily could have gone either way. Aaron Gordon missing tho. Denver pretty scary this year, gonna need in shape Scott Foster to stop them.
Houston also have Fred (starting PG), DFS (starting caliber wing), and Tari (starting caliber wing) missing. Not as good as Aaron Gordon, but three key missing players nonetheless.
Yes, but Fred isn’t returning and DFS at this point is a ?, Tari is awesome
Denver had CB, AG, and Pwat out tonight
It’s wild how many comments I’m seeing mention FVV and DFS, two guys that haven’t played at all this year.
Yeah, and? If he’s out the whole season, does his absence not count as a disadvantage for us?
In the context of the season, FVV is irrelevant because he’s not coming back and there’s no way DFS is getting back to the Houston’s stacked starting lineup.
Not really. A player missing 2 games, 10 games or 80 games is still a player missing. It’s only in American sports where I’ve seen fhis way of looking at things. In Europe, an important player being out for the season is included when discussing a team’s injury crisis.
I think DFS has a good chance of starting if he returns to a good level physically. Okogie has started most games this season. When he hasn’t, it’s been Sheppard or the double big lineup. DFS can start over all of them.
AG is huge factor for Denver chemistry. He affects completions of games.
The Nuggets started the game missing two starters (AG and Christian Braun) but by the end of the game (due to a 1st quarter injury and fouling out) they were down to Murray and Cam as literally their only starters remaining, along with their best two bench players also out, lol.
Not just Aaron Gordon, lol. The Nuggets started the game missing two starters (AG and Christian Braun) but by the end (due to injury and fouling out) they were down to Murray and Cam as literally their only starters remaining, along with their best two bench players out too.
Which telecast is this…? I watched the nuggets one.. This commentator is fun!
This was the main Peacock broadcast. The voice at the start is Michael Grady. Vince Carter was also there.
This already feeling like chiefs vs bengals
Absolute barnburners
This was tight. After this was very not tight.
Reed has ice in his veins
KD was the least likely to miss, no way he was gonna let himself break the chain there
Spencer Jones has a Stanford engineering degree and couldn’t put together a prettier jumper 🤦🏽♂️
Where’s Mike Breen when we need him?
I have no dog in the NBA. This game was fantastic!
Up by three with 40 seconds left, and Jokic goes waaaay under a screen on Kevin fucking Durant and gives him a wide open three. Right after Houston ran the same exact play to get a Reed Sheppard three the possession before that. Come on bruh.
Who the eff is Spencer Jones?
Would’ve been cool if the players had had the chance to decide the game after this sequence instead of the refs wanting a piece of the spotlight
Old heads in shambles
Goddamn it’s all so ethical
Perfect encapsulation of Jokic, especially if the sequence between him and Sengun right before this is included. In total control on the offensive side of the ball, but during the Rockets possessions they were seeking out a matchup with and scoring over him.
And then Jamal Murray interrupts it with a couple of flops to get the call. Can’t have good basketball for longer than three possessions.
