What happened to Kawhi sucked, but we didn’t need to re-write the rule book because of it. Porzingis tore his ACL absorbing contact from Giannis and nobody blinked an eye or seems to remember that. Or for a more recent example (besides the play in this post)… go re-watch Tyrese Maxey’s game saving block against the Warriors. Melton gets absolutely clobbered and nobody (including me) wanted that to be a foul… so why do we go to such great lengths to protect jumpshooters?
