Really makes you wonder what percentage of the shots he was calling on the sidelines. I mean, if it was just a good system last year, him being gone wouldn’t render the system ineffective.

It just doesn’t look good, there’s not a lot to be optimistic about. The injuries have certainly mattered but it’s also a team that is just looking worse than it should even when everything is clicking. Offense doesn’t look right even with Garland. Defense can’t find consistency.

It’s not impossible for them to turn it around, but I think it’s more likely they make some moves.

Last season was brutal. Three of their top five players got hurt in the playoffs and then they ran into the Pacers who took OKC to seven games. They’re struggling right now but there’s so much time to get healthy before the playoffs.

Garland was healthy all last season until right before the playoffs, and has not been healthy since. Not a coincidence they look like shit since then.

He has not been able to be effective with the toe injury as we saw last playoffs, had surgery for it, and quickly reinjured it when he came back early this season.

Cavs are 5-6 this season in games Garland has played (3 of those wins vs Washington and Indiana), 10-6 without.
