I really don’t think its that unlikely. Thru their age 23 seasons Ant is leading by 700+ made 3’s. Curry only had 5 seasons making more 3’s than Ant made last year.
as good as Ant is we have to remember the longevity from Lebron Curry and Durant are extreme outliers. Edwards definitely has the physique and shooting to have a long career even after his explosiveness isn’t elite but age catches up to everyone and Curry’s playstyle has made him 1 of 1. it’s not a question of talent or skill - Ant has enough - but only time will tell if he has the elite longevity required
Sure but Curry getting off to such a slow start, longer in college & early ankle issues & less of a 3point era, makes that much less of a concern.

Ant was at 1109 made 3s to start this season. Curry 4058. 2949 more 3’s before this season started.
Ant so far is averaging 76 games a season. Ant would need to average a little north of 3.2 triples a game playing 76 games a season for the next 12 seasons to catch Curry’s numbers before the season started. While attainable, you’re really underselling how hard it’s gonna be just because Ant has a bigger headstart. He’s gonna need to keep up a high volume and efficiency for 12 very healthy seasons to catch Curry’s current number. Which not many do. Ant’s volume has already dropped this season and a ton of other prolific 3 point shooters like Dame, Harden, and Klay even failed to maintain the volume Curry puts up every year. It’s possible, but it’s gonna be pretty fucking hard still cause of volume, efficiency, and health. But Ant probably has the best shot so far.
The math doesn’t really add up for Edwards. Curry’s 3PM per season booms like 5 years into his career and he maintains that rate for like 12 seasons at least. Edwards would have to make a huge leap and then sustain it for even longer than players like Lillard and Harden to make a run at the record
