Steph hits insane full court shot in warmups
just like the “illusion” one from last year, but this one is legit !
Oh I thought it was the same clip!
Wait, this is a new clip? Hahah, wtaf
100% from 3480934893485 feet
He understands it now.
It’s an “illusion”, Michael.
Tricks are something Terry Rozier does for money.
“It’s called illusion, Michael”
a trick something a whore does for money
Or candy
The directors cut of the pilot has the line as “or cocaine” which I find so much better haha
I find the “or candy” the better line. Because he’s talking about whores performing sexual favors and he thinks sanitizing it by replacing money with candy id what’s needed to be kid-friendly. Which is a whole other level of funny to me.
Isn’t this nasty for his shoulder ???
It’s a pretty nasty shot alright
Nastyyyyyyyyy boys, don’t mean a thing
He’s mostly throwing with his core to sling his arm forward, the shoulder isn’t doing much of anything.
It’s definitely doing more than nothing, but also this isn’t baseball pitching where you’re throwing 40 balls full throttle. Doubt this would cause significant wear on his shoulder.
For you and I sure. Not for an elite athlete who’s warmed up and stretched. He could do this for hours.
It’s just a lil nasty.
This one is legit too. It’s not the “illusion” one. He does a different celebration by holding his hands up at the end, which he wouldn’t do if he missed. https://youtube.com/shorts/f5RG9vPa1Qo?si=jZj9uYPdb9jCfgoY
Kids in future might not believe this lol. They be like “this some AI generated bs”
Once Steph is 40 and can no longer cardio like he used to, can’t he just chill at the half court line so the other team is forced to play 4 on 4
Shit would be hilarious. Steph just posting up at the logo for spacing.
When he retires they will add a four point line so he gets tempted to come back.
Steph Philip Rivers Curry
He did something similar at Davidson. One game he was getting faceguarded and denied the entire game, so his coach told him to go chill in the corner and let his guys play 4 on 4.
He had 2-3 guys on him so he stood at a corner so his teammates can play with an advantage.
That was the coach that hard doubled Steph all game and the rest of the team won 4v3 by like 30 or something lol
No, its 2v1 I believe so his team was playinv 4v3
Oh yeah, you’re right. Makes for an even better story haha
I know you are joking, but with how good offenses are now, players selectively cherry picking I think should be a bigger strategy now.
Yes please.
I feel like there’s a lot of things we’ve seen Steph do that kids will claim is AI in 15 years
77 3s in a row and 92⁄100 or however many he made. And he was not going for a world record or anything he was just in practice
I mean he hit 106 in a row on video so thats not even the craziest lol
I forgot about that tbh when I saw it I thought “yeah he could probably do 300 if he locked in but there’s no reason to” 😂
He’s gonna be the Wilt Chamberlain of shooting stories. In 2050 kids are gonna be saying “it’s not quantum verified real” so we can’t really be sure. Arguments will be had.
I stand by 2016 being an untouchable feat. MAYBE the amount of 3s but definitely not at that efficiency.
i’ll be shocked if there’s ever a revelation in the league from here on like the one steph & klay brought where half court was their range, you could watch a game from 2014 and then a game from 2016 and it feel as different as a game from 2003-2013, they changed the way basketball was played in only 90 something games, just insanity
Allen Iverson isn’t making a shot like that
You mean kids today. And me right now.
A 13 year old student in a science class was arguing to me that the moon landing couldn’t possibly be real and that the footage - from 1969 - was AI.
I am afraid.
They’re gonna treat this the same way we treat Wilt
I saw this and was like “he might be an actual wizard.”
I mean, if you try enough times any kid can hit it too. I have
The way he runs off doesn’t help
Remember when he hit 5 in a row for that ad,
People take everything at face. It will be hard convincing people that something is actually AI versus not.
My friend’s kids think everything is AI now.
We were watching Beauty and The Beast. And they were convinced it is AI.
i mean how
This is ten percent luck
Twenty percent luck
Fifteen percent concentrated power of luck
Five percent skill
Fifty percent luck
And a hundred percent reason to remember the skyfuck
Sky fucker in flight!!!
AFTERNOON DELIGHT!
AAA-A-A
ADRENALINE IN MY SOUL
FULL COURT SHOTS
OUT OF CONTROL
That you Shinoda??
I can hear the music tenenenen tenenenen tenenenen
Y’all READYYYYY?
I can hear the background music playing
Be good at throwing balls at holes. Proceed to throw balls at holes.
I mean funnily enough those are two entirely different skills. He just happens to be great at both.
I feel like we are so used to seeing players make shots like this that it doesn’t seem as impressive as it is, but anyone who tried doing shit like this would know how fcking impossible it is. It’s hard to even get it to reach let alone align the angle and direction exactly
I’ve never seen anyone else do it. Over 100 ft at an angle. He said he’s only made this shot pregame twice.
Somewhat related but I learnt recently that elite basketball players have this thing called ‘Quiet Eye’.
Where when aiming at a target their eyes can stay steady and focused on the target for longer than the average athlete. There’s been some interesting studies on this. Their brains also slow down and focus at the critical time of action.
Steph is some human anomaly and on another level though.
I’m not even sure how his skills are transferable to that kind/range of movement lol
Elite hand eye coordination
That’s the one of the craziest things about humans in general. We can pick up an object of relatively lightweight and throw it accurately for hundreds of feet. Then we learned how to use a fulcrum and wiped out entire species.
It really is crazy, we basically do visual calculus when we calculate the curvature and path of thrown objects. It took millennia for mathematics to develop formal representations to model what the human brain can do instantly and instinctively. I know that’s kinda an overly romanticized way of looking at it, but it just amazes me what the brain can do.
Tom Brady throwing over three defenders on a fade route for a touchdown will never not be impressive.
but it just amazes me what the brain can do.
The human body in general. If you work with cameras it becomes apparent how much better the human eye is at certain things than even the most advanced cameras. The dynamic range of the human eye is just absolutely insane. The fact that we experience no perceivable chromatic aberration is astonishing.
So much of human technology can be described by that one meme from Invincible.
The best thing I’ve seen about this is in Formula 1 when they have the driver helmet cams. Sometimes that camera is shaky af but they always say the human eyes dial out the normal bumps and shakes so that to the driver it’s still “smooth”
I think that’s more about you being the driver. the copilot/navigator always feels everything more, even in the streets
Speaking of the human eye, it’s crazy how much we compensate for poor lighting. A bright sunny afternoon is around 120k lux, whereas a particularly overcast afternoon can be only about 200 lux. And a cloudy dawn or dusk can be yet even less bright.
That’s 600× less luminance, yet we can still go about our lives on an overcast day without feeling like our eyes are receiving getting 600× less light.
And then they went and styled on the mathematicians by juggling.
What’s fun about jugglers is where they look so they can keep catching what they’re juggling - they’re locked in on the apex of the arc. Seeing where each throw crests is enough information for our brains to go, “okay, that means my hand has to be over here.”
And the record for balls juggled is 11 where they’re catching and throwing a ball every quarter of a second or faster.
We’re just REALLY good at guesswork. It’s kind of like AI works. We’ve just seen a LOT of objects thrown and have thrown a LOT of objects in our lifetimes, and got good at guessing where we’re going to throw objects. And the thing is, our guesses are really, REALLY good. Like, they can be 99% of the time within 99% of our estimate guess. We get surgical precision on guesses after a while, but they’re just guesses. God knows we’re not solving any differential equations on the fly (or is that just me). Same with ai, it looks like it’s prescient, but it’s just blunt guesswork
So much of weaponry is just an advancement of throwing rocks.
Isn’t that what Teddy said? Walk softly and carry a large sack of small to medium sized rocks.
And then making the rocks explode
Weirder yet, the things that are done in the sport of football.
Roberto Carlos’s famous freekick and Ronaldo’s knuckleball freekicks. Ibra’s overhead kick. Pretty much anything Ronaldinho ever did.
It’s strange to think about how the foot is so limited in certain ways compared to our hands and yet through the finessed applications of power and angles, these people and others like them figured out ways to use our lower limbs to perform crazy feats (terrible joke, couldn’t help it)
Whatever that was had very little to do with a jump shot. Fucking bonkers.
I don’t think anyone has a good chance at landing that shot but if I had to pick someone to do it I’d pick Steph Curry
Auto targeting works at any distance that you can throw obviously.
Pretty sure if Steph played baseball, he would put up Barry Bonds numbers. Top level hand/eye coordination
What the fuck man lol
Skyfucker is an earned nickname.
Just once I want Breen to call him by his real nickname
My 37 year old goat 🥹
needed to check if he really is 37. wow
How’s he 37 already 😢
I have bad news. It’s almost 2026.
My arthritis found out it was 2026 before my brain did.
Sometimes you just have to admire greatness folks.
Just a warmup shot for him. Its going to suck whenever he retires
We really need a proper horse event at the ASG. They didn’t try hard enough in 09. Get the greats in before this shooting era ends.
What did they do in ‘09?
It was young guys. I know KD won but it was like OJ Mayo against him.
Think of stuff like Steph vs Klay, we can do better.
They ran out of time, so it just became KD and Rondo alternating threes at the top of the key till one missed
Why doesn’t he do this in game every possession? Is he stupid?
“Who’s guarding the inbound shot?”
I’m starting to think this guy might be talented.
big night coming!
Love how he runs off!!! Hahaha
Reminds me of his hole-in-one
His 6 full court shots in a row
Legend has it he’s still running to this day
I like the guy who has to run after him
The heave to end all heaves
When steph retires he should just go on tour doing trick shots in arenas, id pay to go watch that
This whole thing of his is just training for when Red Panda retires
Disc golf isn’t ready for what he could achieve
He could join the Harlem Globetrotters, they’re the best team in the world.
Goat shit
bat shit
Cat shit
Stoat Shit
total misplay
And the legend grows.
He should start a YouTube channel for trick shots
That’s perfect, dude.
Wait say that again
Dude, he said perfect dude. Like dude, perfect.
Nah dude, it’s perfect
Damn I remember that channel. I wonder what happened to those guys.
From the fucking tunnel??
Like WTF
lifetime golden state hater here it sucks i spent so long having to beef with this man. curry going on a run of insane deep 3s might as well be airbending it’s so sick. fun guy to have around doing goofy unc shit
Best shooter to ever pick up a basketball
Even Larry Bird is like “shit, that guy is good.”
Only because the guy who shot Charlie Kirkland signature jeans never hooped
He is quite possibly the best shooter the game of basketball will ever see.
Imagine being his opponents and seeing this shit
How much does Yusef get paid ?
The skeptic in me does not think this is a legit clip. I need another angle of this shot taken from someone else in the arena to believe it
Check Bleacher Report on Instagram, They have a different angle.
How many shots would this take an average dude? 10,000? More?
Can average dudes even throw it that far? Let alone accurately
Bruh, I’m 42 and have torn rotator cuffs in both shoulders and threw a football 20 feet back to a child at the park and I haven’t been able to use my right arm for two months.
So, to answer your question, fuck no.
That usher has a story to tell his great grandkids
Its getting hot in here
Maury cameraman would have caught him
What the actual fuck
And he got the Adidas AE1 x Clot on feet!
This man is a video game character
And not just himself in 2K either, more like Bo Jackson in Tecmo Bowl or NBA Jam with the always on fire cheat on
Bro what
Shot was crazier than the title.
My grandfather said of the years hes watched NBA, Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter he’s ever seen. bro literally has the aim bot on in real life and its unfair.
Idk what’s happening to Reddit rn but every video on this sub is LeBron slamming on the spurs.
he’s the goat of this generation easily
Damn bruh. This is GOAT shit 🐐💩
his security guard like “ah shit now I gotta run” haha
Please, the NBA has to make a competition between him and Luka. It’s just too good and obvious to not capitalize, so they probably won’t..
Steph and Luka should do a game of horse. People will pay for that.
I’m pretty sure I can try this for 24 hours straight and not make it
Incredible!!!!
After all these years this man continues to do things we would’ve thought impossible
The only person I’ve seen in my life who was so good at something I actually thought they may have sold their soul to the devil
I need Steph to do those TV commercials similar to Beckham aiming the garbage bins at the beach
Unbelievable
How tf is this even possible…
And he is still not enough for his wife.
In a war I’m pretty sure this dude would be as lethal as white death
Did he do this on one attempt that day???
Heat check! 🔥
This guy is unreal. Like a savant at shooting the basketball.
He’s genetically different than us lol. Achilles in one life, NBA star in another lol
Was this first try?
Does it matter?
Record right?
Finding ways to hit a hole in one on the basketball court
This needs to be worth 20 points in game
Insane that it looks like he intentionally curved his shot
Fucked up fade curry on the loose
Swished, too?
Gawdamn
Demoralization 101: How to kill the opposition’s spirit before the game even starts.
God damn, he’s not human 😂
Tickets were 100% worth it just by seeing that irl.
Google says the world record for the longest shot ever made is 113 feet, I wonder how close this was. Crazy shot
Literally the cliche of “as soon as he walks into the gym.”
How?!?!
Is this one real
It went in this time …right ?
He’s a freak.
Was that AI wtf steph
So if Steph can do this, what’s the next evolution in NBA players? LeLongTime is in his 23rd season. Will we see a player with 30+ seasons eventually?
Never be another like him
It’s insane because this is a once in lifetime shot if you’re even strong enough to throw the ball that far. And this motherfucker has done it several times
Yes it’s cool but…
Why are you running?!
And when sports science needed him the most, he vanished.
no…
People will say he’s not the GOAT. Their arguments will make sense to me, but they will not convince me.
How does he generate that much power? Didn’t look like he exerted himself too much
Dude must’ve sold his soul…he doesn’t miss
Didn’t smack someone in the head this time
Never play H.O.R.S.E. against Steph.
Before ai is crazyyyy
In another life, Steph was an elite siege engineer. His intuitive knowledge of angles and geometry is savant level.
But he misses his first basket in 4th quarter bet I had.. yea ok
How could this man lose the game? I don’t understand?
