I watched some warriors vids from last year where the other team picked up what they were doing and the warriors knew that and switched it up real time.
I feel like good/smart players can just do that in the moment. Like draymond and lebron are both really good at recognizing plays ahead of time and knowing how to counter. One that comes to mind is LeBron recognized another team (GS iirc) was running a “hammer” play and started directing traffic to clog up the passing lanes, it ended up in the offense throwing the ball out of bounds because they had no one to pass it to.
That’s high-level basketball. You know how an airplane is engineered with redundancies? Like, “if this engine fails, we use that. If that fails, we use this.” There’s always backups. High-level offences are like that, with the way the defence responds having input into, “ok that happened, our system responds this way.”
Players spend time watching game tape before the next game to study systems, and teams practice by having the coach teach the other team’s system, and practicing against it. You might be aware of all this and I don’t mean to be pedantic, I never fully understood that level of inherent complexity but I had an outrageously good coach in college, and that’s how he ran things.
I could be wrong but isn’t this broadcast only online? Are there FCC restrictions like there is with cable broadcasting? It would be awesome to have a more mature stream without any censorship.

Ngl, Amazon is transforming all sports viewing. AWS partnerships have really delivered info-rich broadcasts. Even in F1, which was probably a testbed. They had some misses, but have added some really good metrics too.
