British sideline reporter causes OG Anunoby’s accent to come out
He was four when he moved to the US lol
True but he has family still in London and his siblings when to school and uni over there. I think he picks it up from them.
I personally don’t think he sounds very British in this clip but I have seen him switch up in the past when he was with the Raptors.
OP is taking the piss
(Did I use that right?)
Ya sure did guvna
Innit funny how day talk lik dis
CHEWSDAY INNIT
Calm your tits, you facking mug
It’s chewsday, innit?
No accent came out at all
IDK why op clipped this snippet, the entire like minute and a half before this part is him speaking in a total British accent.
fish n chips bruv
Nothing close to a English accent
indubitably
Sounds like Toronto accent, which has heavy Jamaican influence
yaaa Americans usually say what instead of pardon
Didn’t he move to America when he was four
U wot m8
It happens! My friend grew up in Jamaica but moved to Toronto when he was eleven. Normally, he has no accent but whenever he’s talking to his parents who do speak with an accent, he just seems to naturally match them. He didn’t even realize he did it until a few of us pointed it out
Edit: you hear it more in this interview from a few years ago. It’s not the heaviest but it’s there
He eats BEANS for breakfast???
0 accent here wtf
That doesn’t sound very British by OG…😂
He is yankin our pizzles
Hah, I remember I was in an Instagram chat for this singer who I like who grew up in Ireland, and my screen name sounds Irish (I’m not Irish, it was just my Skyrim character’s name) and she read my screen name with a perfect Irish accent and then answered me sounding like an Irish girl. I loved it haha.
Sounds more Toronto.
It’s quite funny that he can still code-switch like that. Yeah he was born in London, but he was only there until age 4 and then moved to the US.
Yeah no there’s not even a hint of a UK accent there lol (I’m from the UK, born in London)

It sounds more Canadian than London or Uk
What British accents have you heard that sound anything like this
but it’s also not American either, the ‘stay at it’ is going the entirely wrong way tonally
There’s so many different english speaking accents, there’s not just british and american
Are there alot of NBA fans out there? I was shocked when I heard the reporters accent lmao
