He is in a garbage offensive system. He was washed in GS and still elite from 3. Also elite from 3 with Luka last season. Not Klay’s fault the Mavs traded away their offense.

Klay is a sub 35% career 3 point shooter in October, 39.8% in November, 40.3% in December and above 41.2% in every other month, but every year people think he’s washed at the beginning of the year. Klay will be able to shoot 3s until he’s 40. He’s not a star anymore but he’s a competent defender who, even in his current “washed up” role is making 4.5 3s per 36. I’d expect him to shoot ~38-40% the rest of the year on like 10+ 3s per 36 and the better the offense around him, the higher I’d expect the efficiency for everyone else because you can’t leave Klay unguarded.
I think heād be a strong fit on the Pistons. They have a lot of plus defenders so Klay would only have to be competent in a team structure - which he can absolutely do. He would immediately be one of the best 3pt shooters on the team and provide spacing for Cade, especially when Robinson is off the floor. Even if he isnāt filling it up, he demands respect as a shooter and thatās really all Cade needs to cook.

Hes been on the uptick the last like 2 weeks though, once they slid Cooper back to being a forward.
He always starts off slow and always winds up at 40% for the season, which heās trending towards.
