Actually Jarace is a great passer. Dude casually pulls off passes that I’d only expect to see out of Haliburton/Luka/Jokic type players.

His biggest problem is that he gets in his own head sometimes. He’ll visibly be slow to make decisions & then can’t hit a shot. Thinks too much & doesn’t have his confidence as an NBA player yet.

I was primarily talking about creators who can generate their own offense, along with creating looks for others. They have PJ and Flagg and don’t need a PF shooting 35% from the floor 😂.

I didn’t say they would but Dallas isn’t giving Gafford away or trading him for a 2027 first from a team that should be a top 4 seed next year.

The Pacers also have a decision to make on his extension and idk how much Indy is willing to pay given all the guards they have already getting paid.

Mathurin is a lot more valuable than Gafford - there’s no comparison between those two.

If Dallas is okay with the idea of trading Gafford, they surly are not expecting that kind of return.

I would imagine Gafford only gets traded if a really good offer is available. Because we can’t rely on constantly injured AD and Lively to be healthy.

And while we might be blowing this team up and building around Coop. He’s on a pretty fair contract and is only 27.

I’m surprised that a Mathurin/Gafford swap works in the trade machine when they’re about 5M apart in salary.

That being said, I’m not that much of a fan. I have concerns with Gafford’s conditioning - he’s never been more than a 24MPG guy throughout his career and although Lively is injury prone, it seems like the combo of those two is perfect for a full game’s worth of rim protection.

Haven’t really seen any conditioning issues in his time here tbh. Dude plays his ass off and has been one of the best rim protectors in the league the last couple years.

They shouldn’t unless they get their pick back. The center prospects this year look generationally bad. Going by tankathon for simple context, only one center they have going in the 1st round. He’s pick 22. Unless they want Flagg at center, they are going to need depth to stay competitive.

Yeah plus they still have AD for the foreseeable future lively/ad/gafford/pj/flagg is unnecessarily good front court when your backcourt is Brandon Williams/ Dlo/ nembhard/ Klay at the moment. I would trade gafford for a better 1/2/3 depth if possible.
