Yeah defense is one of Andrew’s biggest strengths while Ryan is a negative defender. Ryan is a better passer though.

Hmmm IDK. Sample size from Ryan is too small so far. Also Andrew had several 10+ assist games of his own during his rookie year.

Andrew just plays a lot of minutes playing the 2, even this year.

I’m going based on their college days at Gonzaga. Andrew’s best single-season for assists was 2021-22 and he had 184 (tying Stockton’s second best GU season, though with more games). Andrew had Chet, Strawther, Timme, and Anton Watson on that team. Ryan’s best season was last year with 243, setting the GU single-season record with no likely NBA players on the roster.

Andrew is such a baller. Great 2-way player, and he’s added to his bag this year. It’s just really tough on any non-superstar to try to fill the shoes of Tyrese, thus why Nembhard has struggled from a +/- perspective this season.

I hope the Pacers figure out how to win consistently with Andrew playing the 1, and that - more broadly - the Pacers figure out how to close games without Tyrese. If those things happen, it would mean that the Pacers have so single “head of the snake” cut off in order to beat us. The rest of the league would be so fucked when Tyrese gets back on the court.
