I actually liked him as prospect (though a lot of that was honestly because I like Jalen’s game), but he’s somehow regressed from an already poor rookie year. Is it the yips? He never played like his brother at Colorado and was always a “what-if” and “toolsy” kind of player. And I really don’t say this to be mean but he shot the fakest 40% from 3 ever with the Buffs.

Cody is talented, but he was always gonna need a few years, and I don’t think Utah is the best place for him to develop because he’s already been surpassed by multiple other young guys as, “priorities” if you will, within the org. Hope he can put it all together, because what’s there can be fun, but unfortunately the start has not been encouraging.

Yup. I went to a few of his games in CU and always saw talent but nothing screamed ready for the nba. Im not a scout though so it doesn’t matter. But if he stayed for 3 years like j-dub I think it would have done wonders

Yeah, and he was hurt half of his one year at CU. He showed flashes but was never the guy, or even close to it. KJ Simpson and Tristan da Silva were both better college players (and might be better pros).
