[Highlight] Nikola Jokić throws a full-court pass from out of bounds to Peyton Watson for the bucket
Caught the production crew sleeping too
Jokic is so good he’s faking out camera crews along with the defense.
He did it for that 3⁄4 court lob to AG two years ago too. https://youtu.be/rDpYsHmcG9c?si=TyT1t5Gl6gkDIWgz
I have a theory that he just doesn’t want to run up halfcourt so he practices these precise full court passes
That shit’s canon. He says the reason he got good at passing is because he doesn’t like running
It’s like Brady and his 40 time at the combine.
“Well, guess I better get good at throwing the ball.”
Sports equivalent of a lazy worker streamlining processes
Damn those programmers and their automations. Making an 8hour work completed in 2 hours and just playing video games the rest of the day
He talked about similar thing in one interview in Serbian.
They asked him about his early NBA career and adaptation to faster pace of game than in Europe.
He said that he usually slows down the game when he handles the ball so everybody have to adapt to his playstyle rather than him having to catch up with others.
There’s a way to save the dunk contest, and it’s these two.
Most creative lob + most creative dunks
shit.. you might be on to something
Jokic lobs it from the nosebleeds
this kind of thing happens at least once per game because every goddamn production crew insists on showing these stupid close-ups of the guy who just scored while the ball is actively in play.
i know who just scored, you don’t need to show him to me. he’s trying to see the next play develop just like i am!
Yeah, and the other thing I hate is when there is some controversial foul called and then they show some bucket from few plays ago.
And it’s often a 3. I never ever want to see a 3 replay unless it’s from 40 or deeper
This in particular drives me nuts. When I watch a nationally televised game and it’s like some crazy bullshit call under coach’s challenge, and they decide to show a random 3 pointer from four possessions ago instead of the play being reviewed.
this drives me up a WALL
Nfl does the same junk! Holding called and they’ll show the previous run and bring up Rodgers lol
I can’t fucking stand this. They do it a lot in soccer as well. It’s real simple guys. if the ball is IN PLAY you don’t fucking show a close up.
Or they focus on the coach for like 15 seconds at a time and they probably have a stupid look on their face
That’s a mixed bag, sometimes they strike gold, like this from the other day:
https://np.reddit.com/r/soccer/s/LdDU7KxKY8
I did see that and it’s hilarious. I always get a kick out of Carlo Ancelotti’s perpetual eyebrow raise too
But in this case seeing Miller and Bridges panic as they realize what is happening (and desperately shove Kalkbrenner) is worth it
It’s worse when they do it in 2k.
Luckily you don’t follow soccer. Camera crews insist on taking a a close up shot of the manager, a random celebrity or person in the crowd, or the 73rd replay of a skill, goal or controversial call that happens earlier every time the ball goes out of play. Often times not even. The result is that you miss important passages of play as a result. There is no reason to take the main shot off the game. The only acceptable times to do it is during a goal celebration or if a player is getting subbed and is receiving a standing ovation.
TV production of sports in general is a fucking joke. Gotta love the NBA time out, commercial, 2 seconds of action, commercial, rinse and repeat during the last minute or so of the game. Takes you out of the game. NBA should either limit how many time outs coaches have like FIBA does, or make it illegal to have commercials during time outs. Preferably both.
The Denver production crew gets caught sleeping 3-4 times per game. We miss so many plays. I don’t know why they haven’t figured out to just leave it on the game angle, especially with Jokic.
It’s so dumb, like they should know more than anybody that the Nuggets run a fast pace offense and that Jokic is always looking to make these passes.
I have to consistently imagine Jokic plays if done by any other player to prevent the normalization of such excellence.
His fuckin everyday passes are the highlights of someone’s fave player lol. Legit most beautiful on point passing since nash
Better than nash tbh
I just want to know how he thinks of it. Like he just makes magic happen
Something something horses
One of the highest BBIQs ever, along with all of his other skills
They don’t get done by any other player, he’s one of a kind
Luka maybe only other one
luka is an insane passer but he doesn’t consistently do what jokic does, luka makes good plays in the moment while jokic reads the court and anticipates where others should be to a different degree. luka gets his way more than jokic does too, which isn’t a fault but does lead to lower TS% than jokic for example
Well said, great perspective.
great catch for a first down - wait wrong sport
Jokic was easily the best QB in Denver for most of the last decade
I kinda wanna see him play a game of flag football. Would be fun seeing him throwing long ones for fun.
Have you seen the clip of him catching a football one handed? It would be too easy for him..
I’ve seen it and I want to see more of it.
Goalkeeper in waterpolo is kinda similar to QB, and that’s where Jokic got his crazy long-range passing from. Idk how different NFL ball feels compared to regular round balls, but I think he’d genuinely do great after a bit of practice.
Cries in Teddy Bridgewater, Drew Lock, Case Keenum, Russ, Etc etc
Horse cock lock erasure
I like how practically every franchise has some dumb nickname like big dick nick for someone.
He would have been flagged 15 yards for hanging on the goalpost
It was obviously offsides—dang it wrong sport again
Why doesn’t he just do this every possession, is he stupid?
If he was ever able to be paired up with Wemby. Full court alley-oop passes from out of bounds.
oh god
forshadowing ASG noises intensifies
Generation of Miracles type shi
The ball would just never touch the ground
It’s like playing as the Lakers on NBA live 2003 with Shaq. You could literally just full court pass to him every possession and he would catch it and dunk
Horrendous defense
The Charlotte Hornets having a terrible defense??? That’s unpossible!
theyve tried nothing and theyre all out of ideas
Was at the game, Bridges and…other dude, I forget his name, were just casually strolling at midcourt laughing and high fiving during Denver’s possession, and Jokic and Peyton caught em sleeping. It was sad as hell to watch lol.
Horrendous camera work, too
i mean who would have thought he would throw a touchdown pass
Cue the Gary Oldman screaming “EVERYONE!!!” GIF
Yeah they should have expected that.
NBA is no place for defense friend.
Yeah it certainly isn’t serving the Thunder well.
He does it so casually to, one hand and barely winds up. Takes a lot of strength to do that, absolutely wild.
the most impressive thing ive ever seen on a basketball court was last year where he like, slapped the ball from full court before the end of the quarter. He didn’t even make it, but the fact that it was even lined up and just missed by a couple feet was such a ridiculous feat
I remeber that. That was ridiculous
I remember it was late in the clock and there was no time to catch and shoot? Man out here playing volleyball
That was a grizzly swatting a honeycomb to its kids.
water polo

Crazy !!
Yeah the casualness is just insane. Dude just flicks it like a QB
Jokic is the third best QB to ever play in Denver
Elway, Tebow, Jokic?
Manning, not Tebow
Paxton Lynch, not manning
Semon Demon slander will not be tolerated
Paxton > GrieseGod > Jokic
Jake Plummer bro, the bootleg goat
Hope Jokic doesn’t hit a noodle arm stage.
Yeah, if Jokic could just turn down the ridiculousness of his greatness that would be great (actually, nah, I love that guy… keep it up!) On a side note, nice of him to rep the Raptors on his arm!
I never get these scratches. Do NBA players not cut their nails or what? Lol
Did you play post? I definitely got a few, but I never inspected anyone’s nails to see what was causing it.
“Rip” Hamilton got his nickname for a reason
What the fuck even is this guy man? And how does he make me keep saying that?
Nikola Jokić is so much fun to watch.
bro what
I know it sounds insane, but I really feel that if Jokic for some reason decided to play football and trained for a couple of years as a QB, he could make the NFL.
He would be hard to sack and he isn’t getting his pass blocked, that’s for sure.
Plus he has the mental toughness to play football, which few NBA players do.
His sports IQ could handle the position, and he could predict players getting open for sure.
Jokic does something crazy every game it seems.
It’s either making crazy long heave shots or doing some crazy pass. Or both.
Touchdown Nuggets!
This is the Denver Nuggets broadcast too. They should know better than to cut away from Jokic with the ball out of bounds.
Whoa, nice dish
That’s going on the career highlight reel
If you want a two hour highlight reel. Actually, fuck it I’m in
He does this every season, though
That’s such crazy arm strength alongside his vision, and he doesn’t look like he’s exerting himself much for it at all
Thought I was on r/nfl
Appreciate the players we have now before they retire
Joker > SGA
Just Jokic things
I’m always on the fence if Jokic has a teammate like Giannis, Lebron or AD, games will always have a dunk highlight reel. I know they have AG but just imagine if he had also one of the 3 aformentioned.
I don’t understand what the altitude crew is doing. Jokic is looking down court, has his target and is reaching for the ball. Let’s cut to us less shot of 3 hornets players. They miss 75% of these ridiculous inlet passes. It’s so obvious when they’re coming and they always cut away.
It kind of makes it better. “Jokic to inbound” [other team looking for their assignments and then catch something out of frame] then Watson scores out of nowhere with 23 seconds on the shot clock.
very few can do that man
HAHAHAHA Jokic man. Love him
Joker a sick mufucker, what a pass.
And what a bunch of goofs the Hornets are, haha.
“5 Rip Van Winkles who fell asleep”
GOAT
Is there a QB controversy in Denver?
How many people in history can even make this read and pass? Jokic, Lebron, and maybe KLove come to mind. Did Magic ever make full court outlet passes? I haven’t seen one, but it wouldn’t exactly surprise me
Bird for sure.
I’m not trying to toot my own horn but I remember people jokingly mocking me for saying jokic was gonna be one of the best to ever play and year after year I’m gaining my confidence back. I knew I wasn’t crazy.
I think bridges confused his teammate for his girlfriend during this clip?
Alright then. Do it your way.
Love how you can see Bridges reaction like “Oh shit it’s Jokic inbounding!”
Why run when full court pass do trick
Jokic has a great Waterpolo pass form… It was fantastic pass
This is the kind of thing I wondered why players didn’t just do when I first started watching basketball lmao
Passes like that are dangerous because they are airborne so long. A wary defense will recover and steal the pass. Joker just seems to catch guys sleeping all the time.
ight bro wtf
Kuroko pass type shit
Basketball genius
Wait I was watching the game and I actually missed this play 😭😭😭
Bro would be an absolute monster in waterpolo
This fucking guy
Always be ready
There were a few passes from Jokic to Watson tonight that felt like a message. “If you’re open under the basket the ball is already coming to you.”
Mad lad
Heatles/Brady-Moss flashback..
Does traveling just not exist in the NBA? Legit question as someone who hasn’t watched in years
It does, but it’s been awhile since it’s been two steps.
Takes at least 4 to get a travel call, 5 or 6 if you’re LeBron
In high school it’s like 1.5 steps. In the NBA it’s 2.5-3.5. And you can pick up your pivot foot. And if you’re not too obvious about it you can switch pivots multiple time and shuffle your way around the court. It exists, but I can’t tell under what conditions they install it.
The live shot (and bad camera direction) made me think he initially threw an alley-oop!
It’s OK, by the time those Hornets players make the NBA, they will have learned how to be professionals who get back on D…
Sleep
He learned those one handed skills playing water polo.
Kevin Love is that you
Serbian Handball coach was in the audience.
More accurate than Caleb Williams. :(
The things you can get away with while playing Charlotte is hilarious.
If you don’t like this, you don’t like Charlotte bobcats/hornets basketball
do you get a gather step if you dont dribble ? if not that was a travel lol.
