Need bucket? Get bucket.

you spelled NBA Cup FMVP wrong
CUPFMVPCPOYMVPFINALSMVP
Damn right!
Bro is just disgusting tbh
Never seen someone check off so much of the bitw criteria list and not get the tag before.
He’s the best one on one player since Kobe. Yes, even better than Harden. Harden was much better playmaker but seeing Shai in the iso is just ridiculous.
Better 1 on 1 than Kobe
I saw in the playoffs a guy was guarding Kobe and then there was another defender ready to help behind him if Kobe got by. The other defender was literally guarding air, he wasn’t helping off of anyone. His only job was to double Kobe if he got by the first man.
I have to admit that I was slow to buy the SGA stock, but I’m sold now.
Dude is legit cold as ice
Why take many shot when few shot do trick?
This is by no means to take away from how insanely clutch and efficient he’s been, but I see people site that he is doing this despite sitting half of the fourth quarters. On paper, that makes this even more insane. In practice, he’s actually played a ton of clutch minutes - those two double overtimes really pumped the numbers up for him. I very much doubt he will be the clutch points leader by the all-star break.
EDIT: Obviously I’ve somehow written this in a way that gives the wrong impression so let me be crystal clear about the point I’m making - SGA has only played in 10 4th quarters, but has 53.6 minutes played in the clutch. I thought that was surprising, and that it was worth bringing up when talking about his clutch scoring. He’s still scoring more in the clutch than anyone else by quite a bit, I just think it’s worth considering - my bad
SGA — 1st in Clutch Points (87 points), 10th in Clutch Minutes (53.4 minutes)
Maxey — 2nd in Clutch Points (70 points), 2nd in Clutch Minutes (70.4 minutes)
Cade — 3rd in Clutch Points (69 points), 9th in Clutch Minutes (53.6 minutes)
Flagg — 4th in Clutch Points (52 points), 1st in Clutch Minutes (71.3 minutes)

Holy Anthony Edwards has been unstoppable in the Clutch 2nd in PPG first in field goal percentage of anyone in the top 20
Yeah I think that I must have messed up the phrasing - I’m not saying he’s played the most clutch minutes, just a surprising amount of clutch minutes given that he’s only played in 10 4th quarters
You could have just looked at actual minutes instead of making things up tho
I didn’t make anything up though? I said he’s played a ton of clutch minutes because he’s 10th in the league in clutch minutes played which, like, my whole point was that it’s surprising that he’s played so many minutes in the clutch when he’s only played 10 4th quarters lol
Source?: Some bullshit coming out of your ass
So obviously I messed up the framing of my comment because people are interpreting this in a crazy way lol. I’m not saying anything negative about his clutch - he’s been the best in the league in the clutch, and the best player in the league arguably in general this season. I’m just saying I was surprised to see how many minutes he has played in the clutch considering how few games he’s played in the clutch, and that it is somewhat misleading when people reference that he has only played like, 10 4th quarters so far just because of all the extra clutch minutes he’s gotten from overtime.
I think like ~55 of those points are all from those first two double OT games of the season. Which is still crazy impressive, but when two games make up the majority of the stats that’s called a small sample size. I still expect him to be among the leaders by seasons end.
u just made that up lmaoo
No I checked it the last time this was posted. He scored an insane amount of points in those 30 minutes of clutch time minutes from two double OT games.
he scored 27 clutch points in the first two games bud that’s no where near 55%
Is not any points when the game becomes within 5 with less than 5 minutes left?
It is.
But he didn’t have 55 points across them. In October, SGA played in 4 games (counting those 2 games) that had clutch mins for 34.6 mins total, and “only” 46 clutch points.
In November-Present , he played just 19 clutch mins, sure. but he’s added 41 clutch points in that time.
I won’t be surprised if someone ends up passing him due to sheer volume. But I’m not gonna bet against the guy who’s averaging like 2pts per clutch minute.
I was manually counting those two games (would love to see a link that shows it being tracked), maybe the points where the score margin went from 6 or 7 to under 5 don’t count as clutch points, not sure.
That’s correct, if OKC was trailing by 6 and SGA hits a bucket to cut it down to 4 it is not technically a clutch bucket.
You can see clutch stats recorded on nba.com and you can play around with the filters: https://www.nba.com/stats/players/clutch-traditional
The last part is probably how I should have framed my point lol. I think with J-Dub back, and with the pounding OKC tends to put on teams, someone like Maxey or Cade is likely to take the 1 spot just off of playing twice as many clutch minutes as him. I don’t think yall are doing any more double overtimes this season lol
But with the schedule ramping up and I-Hart missing time making y’all look slightly less immortal he might just wind up knocking out 40 clutch points a month and seal the deal
0:42 amazing chickenwing by fta, uses his shoulder and then his arm to fling the defender away illegally.
if kobe did this he’d drop 60 a game
You’re a numb skull if you think that move wasn’t done by Kobe or is an illegal move
you think you’re a scholar but you don’t know jack shit.
don’t stop crying
