Walsh era has officially began
Begun* Probably our most ethical player. So damn efficient. We are not worthy 🙇🙇🙇
Nair Jordan
This is the one folks. Rap it up.
Someone cc: Drew immediately
I can’t say that I love it because it highlights something that I gotta imagine caused him some trauma as a kid and probably still does. It’s also a nickname that I cannot imagine won’t stick.
Can be like AD embracing the unibrow.
Well, he could shave the brow if it bothered him Jordan is SOL unless Jaylen saved some foaming spray for him
Yea, that’s the one.
Potentially the best nickname in the league overnight. If this one’s yours, congrats
i wont be referring to him with any other name now bravo
Whoever came up with that name first needs a flair.
You won the internet with that! I don’t know if he’d be comfortable with it that nickname but damn it’s perfect lol!
Seriously wtf its like overnight he went from g-league pending to guarding good players well across the league and straight cashing shots
He was super young for his draft class and went into the mid 2nd, he’s always been a project.
It drove me nuts seeing people clamoring to waive him because he’s been the perfect blueprint for a high energy wing role player since he came into the league.
Guys with his length, athleticism, and mentality are always valuable if they can contribute offensively while bringing that same level of defensive intensity. No one wanted to give him the time he needed to develop.
Just needed reps this whole time
in general we just have to be more patient.
Like this is really a testament of being patient with our young talent. Like he wasn’t going to get playing time those last two seasons because of our talented roster. Now he has the opportunity and he’s been ready ever since.
100%. Think about any job you’ve ever had, you grow and gain comfort with experience. We live in the age of instant gratification but these things take time and we’re already seeing the positives of development. I mean, this season isn’t even 2 months old…
Yeah, it can’t be easy learning to guard top level NBA players in the g league, need to at least practice against the talent every day even if you’re not getting minutes in the games
That’s what happens when a respected player believes in you. Jaylen pulled Joe aside and told him to play Walsh more. Something like that must work wonders for a young guy’s confidence.
Edit: sometimes I get the feeling a ton of these young nba players have potential to become great if teams just gave them the playing time
They totally do, making it to the NBA means you are in a tiny percentile of incredible at basketball
Literally all you have to do, is give them time and opportunity. You won’t know unless you give them playing time.
I don’t think he ever was g league pending. When people was wondering why he wasn’t getting minutes, it probably was not because he wasn’t good enough but just Joe experimenting early in the season. Joe tried giving Hugo/Minnott/Walsh turns in heavy minutes. Turns out Walsh will be the most consistent and offensively ready
The guarding has always been there, even in prior years. The massive improvement has been the offense
Jordan “Jordan Walsh” Walsh
Michael Jordan Walsh
Jordan “Michael Jordan Walsh” Walsh
Best Jordan to ever grace the NBA hands down if you think about it
As an Arkansas fan and a Celtics fan, it is awesome to watch him develop. And dude is 21 years old.
most ethical player?
Ethical Grade A organic free range grass fed clamper and bucket getter
Excited for the “If the Bucks want Walsh for Giannis then NO DEAL” posts tomorrow
Baby Rodman w a 3 point shot
I’d call him “Worm Jr” but given the alopecia it feels wrongÂ
Strangely enough tho I fucking hated Rodman back in the day Worm has grown on me enormously in hindsight. If he’d been a Celtic we’d have put his number in the rafters
Rodman was one of the greatest rebounders and defenders ever. Like Jwalsh but let’s slow our role.
He’s tayshaun prince
I’ll take it!
Prince operated more in the midrange. His midrange jumpshot was money. They both have skinny frames and inspector gadget arms though.
Nobody putting JW in that tier, so slow your role.Â
Just having fun over here & enjoying the relentlessness that Jordan’s bringing defensively & on the boards. The absolute relentlessness is actually what made Rodman so great, & what my comment was relating to
Fair nuff!
I was going to say more of a prime Jae Crowder. 2015-2016 Crowder before he had that really nasty ankle sprain was an absolute defensive beast
True but I have wiped Jae from my memory since he intentionally undercut Hayward & basically fucked the man’s career (not financially per se but as a star level player)
Fuck Jae sideways he was always a journeyman who thought he was something more
I love him
I keep humming “Put me in Coach I’m ready to play” And Coach did, and it’s fantastic to see.
Granted this was vs Wizards, and I like Tatum a lot, but they had a plan of attack on most of their possessions today. It wasn’t one guy dribbling up the court and making arbitrary decisions.
And this is exactly how you win games.
J Wall ???
Anyone ?!?
What a difference two years makes. He’s a completely different personality on the floor. Looking forward to seeing him work next to JT.
In the beginning of this season his shot and touch was so… stiff and awkward. Garza the same. I thought they both looked doomed to never have the soft hands needed around the rim. Garza still looks that way but Jordan has done a complete 180 the last two weeks. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this happen as fast as this
He’s been a revelation
Less skilled Khawi
Hair Jordan
This is honestly what I thought he would be coming out of college…& then he was nowhere near that. Now, he’s where I thought he would be.Â
The level he’s playing at now is All NBA defense. Thats crazy bcuz with tatum healthy, you have five All NBA guards/wings in White/tatum/Brown/Walsh/Gonzalez. Thats insane
Those were some nasty dunks đź‘€
He reminds me of a longer avery bradley. If he keeps up his shooting that could be his ceiling. Which is a huge compliment.
I hope so, I’m rooting for him and he’s been playing good lately. Hopefully he keeps growing as an nba player
Honestly, if Jayson makes it back i don’t see who can beat us in a 7 game series. We would have a deep bench that could run with most starters.
Glad I was wrong about him.
The Baldtergeist
Ok…
He should be called The Doctor from Dr. Manhattan. Scary close look a likes.
