Just an absolute dud of a quarter from the Warriors against the 76ers tonight. Warriors trail 10-33 at the end of the first.

Worst this season but the all time record for worst quarter is a tie at 2 points between the Mavs in 1997 and the Warriors in 2004.

Warriors led 73-57 going into the 4Q. Then got outscored 18-2 in the fourth by the Raptors to send the game into OT tied at 75. Raptors won 84-81 led by 22 points by Vince Carter and 19 points by Jalen Rose.

The system was like this for the past 5 seasons. 2022 was the odd year that they got everything lined up perfectly for them.

Nah, bullshit. He took a medium good team from Mark Jackson and turned them into a dynasty, revolutionizing the league. Roster has grown old/stagnant and the league has caught up. Casuals may not understand that “Strength in Numbers” was more than a corny slogan. The old teams really had great depth with people like Iguodala, Livingston, Lee, Speights, Barbosa, and West coming off the bench.
Beyond Steph/Jimmy/Draymond, the current team is just a bunch of guys.
Spo isn’t turning Podz, Moody, Spencer, Santos, and Post into a playoff team either.

Celtics have nearly the same record as the Warriors despite playing in arguably the easier conference, with a roster that includes Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, and Anfernee Simons. Not saying Mazulla isn’t a good coach, but that’s a weird comparison. I’d say the Celtics are punching near their weight.
Celtics started 0-3 then got coached and have been good.. with the 5th hardest strength of schedule so far compared to the warriors 16th.
It’s an almost irrelevant tangent to bring the Celtics into a conversation about Steve Kerr. Being 12-9 with Brown and White surrounded by some shooters and glue guys isn’t coaching heroics at any rate.
“A roster that includes Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, and Anfernee Simons” is quite a bit worse than a roster that includes Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, and Brandin Podziemski.
And 12-9 is not “nearly the same record” as 11-12
Curry/Green/Butler are all 35+ and Curry has only played 16 games this season compared to 21 for Brown and 20 for White, but I guess we can keep making this Steve Kerr conversation about the Celtics if that’s what you want.
And Tatum has played 0 games this season. Bringing up injuries doesn’t help your case.
Steph being 35+ is still a top-10 player in the NBA and significantly better than Brown. Same with Jimmy being better than White. So not sure how that’s relevant.

Warriors are 9-7 when Curry plays this season, which is 56.3%, almost identical to Boston’s 57% total this season.
I mentioned Spo in the context of the Golden State bench to suggest that no coach on the planet can turn the shabby talent into a competitive team. A team with prime Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, and Payton Pritchard is not comparable to tonight’s Warriors lineup. It’s an asinine tangent.
The only asinine tangent is pretending like the Warriors have been trotting out tonight’s lineup for the entire season. Brown, White and Pritchard don’t even sniff the talent level of Steph, Jimmy and Draymond, quit being disingenuous and acting like the Celtics somehow have a better roster so you can prop up Kerr
