What’s funny about this, the league is essentially saying having star players play in nationally televised game should dictate a players rehab schedule.

If the 2nd game of the back 2 back wasn’t nationally televised, they still wouldn’t have played Garland in that game.

He came back to play when he was ready, which was the Clippers game. With the nature of his injury, they didn’t want to further aggravate it.

Different sport, but same injury, the 49ers brought Purdy back too soon and he ended up missing 6 additional weeks.

Might be subjective, but I’d arguing basketball is better to watch when you like the team as a whole, rather than just 1 or 2 stars.

Last year I still cheered for book and kd, but as a whole the team sucked ass to watch.

This year, even with our injuries (including book now), the team is still scrappy and vibing. Don’t care if it ends up a .500 season, as long as they keep at it.

Heck, even the poverty mavs team is fun to watch this year, they’re keeping games close somehow.

I live in Michigan where it’s too cold to do much this time a year and I love having so many games to watch. Having 30 fewer games each year would suck. Even in the games this year where the Pistons were dealing with a lot of injuries it was still fun to watch and we ended up winning those games with G-League players. Daniss Jenkins used that time to show what he’s got and is now part of the regular rotation.

I see the same thing with people who claim to be baseball fans wanting to take a big chunk of the games away. I love the fact that in the summer there’s basically a game every day. It’s more like “when is the game today,” not “is there a game today.” Since it’s summer I end up listening to many games on the radio though.

Well, we know some sat for gambling and faking injuries. Also, it seems like this generation of players has a hard time balancing night life and playing on the court. For every James Harden who is in the National Strip Club Hall of Fame, the league is full of burnouts who can’t roll like that. There’s too many minutes logged on players, when they are in their teens, for overzealous high school coaches. A lot of players are generally lazier and train less because they have “fuck you” money that wasn’t there before. All of these have been confirmed by arrests, former and current players accounts, etc.

Baseball has a problem with pitchers because of overuse at young ages. As more people try to bank on athlete success, young kids are under more pressure and physical exertion to please the egos and pocketbooks of adults.
