[Highlight] Tidjane Salaun has one of the defensive possessions of all time
Well God damn maybe they should have picked Edey
Big Tiddy actually played well last night tbf. This is just a funny clip
Genuinely glad to know! I do want the Hornets to succeed even if their barbeque sucks.
You take that back! (Bbq part)
Depends on what kinda Carolina sauce you use.
Reaper
Respect for bein honest.
Nah why pick a good player when you can draft a guy who has the physical tools to theoretically one day be a good player? In all seriousness it is kind of funny how much overthinking can happen during the draft process, to the point where franchises can forget its actually important the player they are picking is good at the sport.
I mean to be fair to the Hornets, Edey wasn’t the consensus number 1 center and was pretty controversial
Clingan was the very next pick and was the consensus best center left on the board. He also would have been a much better pick.
Yes, Clingan was who I was referring to. I want to say it’s too early to call Salaun a bust but I don’t even see him have a tenth of the feel for the game Clingan has.
He’ll never have the impact Edey or Clingan already have.
Yeeeahhh I like to wait til someone is on their second contract before throwing out the bust label but yeah you’re right there’s a good chance he’ll never reach their floor.
Largely due to nerds overthinking though. Best player in college ball, has shooting stroke that can be worked on for muh spacing, fucking enormous, also actually had pretty strong results in the combine mobility tests.
But he’s a big post bruiser and we don’t do that any more because every centre needs to be the next Jokic or a 1-5 switching rim runner, so he was “controversial”.
Yeah everyone definitely over thought it. I’m glad it happened though because: 1) he fell to us at nine 2) he’s a legitimately spiteful dude who loves to prove people wrong. I think he’ll be a decent shooter in the long run just because of that. People telling him he can’t shoot def pisses him off lol.

Damn bro if ur coming in this hot I need a source or some context or something lol. Googling “Edey minor” doesn’t bring up anything
He accomplished his task of preventing an open 3 👍
The invisible man in the corner got LOCKED UP.
that’s a carry
Triggered by that great defensive effort!
And a fucking massive travel. Holy crap that was god awful
Yeah I don’t understand this at all.
They try saying they don’t have possession until 2 hands are on the ball but then when they are dribbling they say it’s still a live dribble until 2 hands are on the ball. So they can take how ever many steps they want until the “gather” actually happens.
The rules make no sense. This might actually be a carry/travel but I feel like the refs purposefully didn’t call this because he never established possession based on the rules.
I have no idea though.
2k defense, baiting the pass and trying to get a lane steal. Hukporti passed to the corner for 3 instead of taking an open dunk in the same game.
Salaun definitely isn’t smart enough to try that.
Really funny to see Tyler Kolek turn to Hukporti later and yell,“DUNK THE FUCKING BALL”
The coaches reactions 😂
Horrible communication by #4 and bad spatial awareness by Saluan.
Salauns bbiq on both ends seems so so bad.
He plays like someone who just picked the game up. I was shocked when I found out he’d been playing at a French academy team since he was a kid. He’s got the motor, size, athletic ability and his skills don’t look bad it’s just that he does inexplicable things on the court
He grew up never actually liking basketball. He’d play for leisure with friends like hanging out but most of all French youth guys he grew up with took it seriously. He began taking basketball seriously a year and a half before he was even drafted.
His sister took basketball seriously and his sister is best friends with Wemby’s and Rayan Rupert’s sisters. His sister was one of the best youth players out of France along with Rupert who both now play for the Golden State Valkyries before Malonga came onto the scene. He began to take it seriously because Wemby and Rayan made it to the nba and he didn’t want to be left out.
It’s because he was probably just winging it and didn’t spend time practicing away from the team. No one who puts the work in will ever suck.
Yea he played for leisure and did it for”fun” because his sister and her best friends brothers who he tend to hang out with played (Wemby and Rayan Rupert)
I just don’t understand why he would even look back after running the lane perfectly
i mean saluan should see that brunson is behind so sion has to go to him so he could take the ball…
Imo it would have been just as inefficient to switch up when the ball handler was that close to the basket. I would have had #4 stay on ball til it was passed to Brunson and take my chances there than letting the guy walk in with an easy layup
He was weirdly solid at times on offense but this was mind boggling 😂
He was still better than Miles Bridges that game no lie
Prime Harden energy
If I was the coach and I saw this on the professional level you would never see the light of day again let alone playing time
This era has the best defense, just so skilled!
Please watch a full NBA game from the 90’s and tell me the defense is better than today
It’s painful to watch some of those full games in that era
ADHD brainrot zoomer spotted
Some of those game are way worse offensively than defensively
It is and its not even close
The defensive ben simmons?
He did the Mr. Krabs confused meme lmao
Clakrson’s aura pushed him away
Smart play actually. Casper was wide open for 3 and he’s automatic
Bro hoopin fr
Lmao that bench reaction
Just a controller glitch
Investigate that man
I think Tdawg has one of (if not THE) highest +/- ratings on the team, too.
Because he literally never plays?
Luka is on his defensive mount rushmore.
he tries so hard but hes just so inept
Aw its nice to see him back in the league. Shaqtin goldmine right here
Probably got confused by Clarkson just running while carrying the ball for like 4 steps
LMAO
That carry was egregious
Tidjane will suddenly come in and make like 6 bad plays in a row to completely kill the team’s momentum while Lee just lets it happen and watches the game slip away entirely. It happened against the Nets too. He looks so lost all the time it’s actually mind boggling.
Carry
Wasnt that a carry?
Even Clarkson was confused by Salaun’s defense
You could see the slight hesitation before shooting
Funny to think that if they don’t draft him the Spurs probably take him at 8 and the Timberwolves don’t get Rob. Spurs don’t have the money to take on Barnes so they miss out on that kings 31 swap. they also don’t get the Wolves future pick to send for Fox. That one domino could have made my spurs insanely different
This is like when I turn off my brain and just follow the arrow under my guy in 2k
What the hell was that?!
He saw ghosts LOL
