[Highlight] Payton Pritchard drops 42 points on 15⁄22 shooting vs Cavs
Why does the diff exist.
People from ohio can’t count đź¤
Degen gamblers from Ohio cant count.
its a meme atp. they did it when lebrons cavs were winning by 20+ every night
There is nothing like watching PP torch someone’s favorite team.
I’m sure it feels different on the receiving end, but nonetheless I bet you still feel this sense of awe and “he’s THIS good?” that I still feel from time to time
Bro won 4 straight titles and state POYs in high school. People from Oregon know very well about this dude.
Covid is the only thing that allowed his draft stock to stay low enough for Boston to get him. He was about to torch the whole country in March madness that year as the winner of the PAC-12 POY and wanting to go out on a high note in his senior season.
He was absolutely on fire that last year at Oregon.
Shoutout Charles Barkley on draft night saying basically all of this
Best PP in Boston history
2nd. First one is Parry Pird
Pobert Parish is my number two behind Pird. It’s wide open after that though.
PP is one of those guys where you watch him most games and your like “this guy is pretty good”, then he goes nuclear and starts draining everything and putting your on ball defenders on skates and your like “wait what?”
That’s the edge his work ethic has given him. Not even being corny with that.
I mean literally all of the extra ball handling and conditioning work he does that other players don’t do, allows him to have more fuel in the tank than the other guys he’s sharing the court with which allows him to get to his spots and get his shots off, which he’s not going to miss very often because he’s shot hundreds of thousands of times in a practice gym.
Certain players have that mentality, you know what it’s called. And they literally do get the absolute best out of themselves that is humanly/ realistically possible. And those are the kinds of players that we need to celebrate more imo.
This guy knows PP.
What playing against him since 3rd grade and training at the same gym will do
That’s actually awesome you got to experience that.
To a certain extent yes lol. But I also never once beat a team he was on. Closest we came was a championship game in a tournament in 4th grade where we lost by 4. I remember it very well.
Pretty sure Pritchard was also playing with the 6th grade team that same weekend too lol
According to Brian Scalabrini, Pritchard thinks he is better than Steph Curry. Now obviously he isn’t lol, but he has that kind of confidence that a player his size needs in order to do stuff like this. And he has a crazy work ethic as well
He reminds me so much of Chris Mullin. Moves that are just basic tempo, fundamental stop n go, but somehow are also impossible to stop. Obviously being a big time shooter is the key for both, but man is it deceptive when analyzing the player because their effectiveness is so much greater than their flash.
Ive seen 3 highlights a row where they stop at 2-3 points before the official total. Why is that?
I think they cut some FTs at the end

This is so much better, should have been the OP. Timi always does a fantastic job.
Timi is fantastic
He gets so insanely hot and becomes one of the best scorers on the planet, and then the next game he will be 2-6 for 5 points
yeah but he makes less than 8 mil and we have him under contract through 2028. He’s such a steal.
Payton “Modulating Valve” Pritchard
It’s been like 20 games. He’ll be over 20 ppg by the time Tatum comes back if he manages to this year. PP’s just been cold early
He’s not asked to take 25 shots a game though right?
It’s the nature of being a small guard in the NBA. These dudes can heat up quick, but their physical limitations hold them back from dominating every game.
Fucking nuts watching this live. I saw no rim touches, nothing but net for PP
I tried telling you guys about him. I’ve been saying he could be this dude since he was drafted and I have not yet been agreed with on that.
I’ve still argued with Celtic fans this season who say Simons is a better offensive player.
Any Celtics fan who says that doesn’t actually watch the games, PP been legit since he was a rookie
That’s just not true though there were so many of you in there who doubted him and supported playing other guards over him.
Carson Edwards, Tremont Waters, Kemba, Schroder, Teague, Holiday, White, Brogdon, Richardson, and I know I’m forgetting some.
I get why some of those guys should’ve played over him but it was just too many. Like you said he showed promise as a rookie, there was no reason for BOS to continuously bring in new guards to keep playing over him season after season.
I remember there was a good amount that wanted to trade him under the guise that “he deserves playing time somewhere else”. Absolutely moronic reason to trade someone
Celtics fans who think Simons should be starting over him drive me nuts
I’ll admit I didn’t watch him in Portland, but Simons in Boston just continually pounds the ball into the floor getting backed up to the half court line and almost never touches the paint or draws 2 to get other guys open. He avoids contact, while Pritchard seeks it out on drives to gain positional leverage. That’s why he gets open on these 2PA in the OP
Simons is fun to watch and Dame-lite highlights are cool, but as far as winning basketball, I don’t get the Simons hype. Pritchard has been a winner since HS and people still don’t want to seem to give him his due because he was the 6MOY behind Jrue Holiday and Derrick White and still think of him as “just a bench guy”
He earned his starting spot, full stop.
Besides shooting, it’s also crazy how good his post game and rebounding is for his size. Like how does the smallest guy on the court get multiple OREB per game?
PP Tenshi
Garland and Hunter can’t guard fucking anyone
He had Hunter praying to god out there
wicked crossover
4 years 30 million btw. Think of some of the contracts floating around the nba and what they got him for. He was good when he signed the extension , not this great, but his agent is dogshit
straight baller
“We should all be fortunate that Allen Iverson Peyton Pritchard wasn’t 6’5”
Payton is who Podz thinks he is but isn’t even close.
Just glad he waited to do this until after they played the Wolves
Yeah like the rest of Celtics bball you chuck a lot and hit for a big score or miss for shit and both ways it’s boring
Who cares it wins games and winning games is fun. Tho as a Sixers fan I guess you probably aren’t too familiar with that.
It definitely wins games when you have an elite roster with little to no gaps. But it’s still not fun so good luck with it this season
it’s literally still winning games and is the reason we are 11-9 with zero minutes played by our best player lmao. your just yapping but again I’d be salty if my favorite team had Embiid on it.
