Honest question - obviously Dyson isn’t trying to hurt Maxey on purpose but why isn’t this ruled a flagrant for removing maxey’s landing space? Seems even more dangerous than removing a jump shooter’s space, no?

Uh, yes, they do, all the time. As long as you’re meaningfully impeding/affecting the offensive player it’s a foul
Find one example of someone getting a foul called on them for getting stepped on while they are laying on the floor let alone a flagrant which presumes a malicious act
Flagrant foul 1 is for “unnecessary contact”, he did not step unnecessarily into the landing space, he accidentally slipped & fell. Very different to making an intentional decision to step into landing space.
