[Highlight] Steven Adams with a block into a dunk
Wasn’t aware he could do that
He didn’t know… he couldn’t do that
He’s done it for years before his injuries
You’re telling me he did know he couldn’t do that?
this guy never watched prime chappelle standup
You’re on 4th street
“Well now you know, now get the fuck outta here”
move it…. MOVE IT
KEEP IT MOVIN
You and the rest of the arena!
Injuries have slowed him down the last couple of years but he seems to be moving a lot better this year
He just fucking 360 noscoped his ass
Bro why tf is that so funny hahah
GET NO SCOPED !!!
Holy shit! I did not see that dunk coming
Why doesn’t Steven Adams just simply devour all the other players?
He’s too nice to be that guy
Dammit, you’re right.
He doesn’t eat people. He eats offensive rebounds.
I did. It was in the title
Big Kiwi is the scariest and the nicest dude at the same time
He’s a great foil for Kevin Durant. They would honestly do great as a buddy cop duo haha
Man imagine if they got together in their primes! They could probably get… at least a few playoff series wins
all they need is an athletic freak like westbrook who can break down defenses and maybe another elite PG like Harden, who can efficiently distribute the ball and score from all three levels.
but what they REALLY need is an elite backup center, someone like Kendrick Perkins, who is secretly the brains behind the whole operation😤
The pick that became Adams was part of the Harden trade
ah fuck, now my joke sucks
Great joke! I lol out loud!
That team is exhibit fucking A in the fact that a sports team is more than just the sum of its parts.
lol
Basically a cop movie with Michael B Jordan and Jason Momoa?
Say please!
If there’s one thing that can unite us as fans, it’s a Steven Adams highlight!
Turning back the clock a bit. Looked explosive for an old man
Weirdly only 32
damn he’s in his prime!
For a guy that size his knees must be twice that age
Strength is a great protector of joints!
Man I love Steven Adams
I don’t know how anyone could not love Steven Adams
Well a couple years ago he was liking tweets from Andrew Tate and his brother, but that’s about the only dirt that I remember ever seeing.
on the list of “beating your pregnant girlfriend in an elevator, to telling your girlfriend to get da abortion”, i’d say that ranks pretty low in things to be disgusted with when it comes to a basketball star😅
If I had a nickel for every time a kiwi athlete was liking Andrew Tate posts on Twitter, it would be time to invest in a large coin jar.
That dunk finish was so satisfying to me for some reason
It’s the casual stylin’
For me, it’s the post move he works just before the dunk. Back to the basket, looks like it’s gonna be a upfake into a baby hook, or maybe another fake into a step through. Instead, he turns and just fuckin muscles that dunk in there, complete with the steezy dismount.
What a man
Boom shakalaka.
Holy what a slam. Remind me, the Grizzlies traded away this guy for what again?
“The Houston Rockets have acquired Memphis Grizzlies center Steven Adams in a trade for guard Victor Oladipo and three second-round picks, the teams announced Thursday.
As part of the trade, the Grizzlies are getting a 2024 second-round pick via Oklahoma City, a conditional ‘24 second-rounder, which will be the most favorable pick between the Brooklyn Nets’ and Golden State’s own, and a more favorable 2025 second-round pick of Houston’s, according to sources.”
The 2024 Brooklyn pick became Jaylen Wells and the Houston 2025 pick became Javon Small. Not sure where the 2024 Oklahoma pick ended up - likely consolidated for a different 2nd.
i swear to god half the reason why Victor Oladipo had a job for so many years was because his name was strangely very fun to say out loud. Oladipo! A goated name
Something super weird went down between Adams and the Grizzlies FO.
The way I remember it, Adams was playing great only to suddenly go down with a knee injury about a dozen games out from the playoffs. We had just lost Brandon Clarke to an achilles, and hopes were that Adams would manage to get back sometime in the first round. Adams didn’t play, and we get man-handled by Anthony Davis.
Over the off season we get no news regarding any surgery or anything like that. Scuttlebutt is that Adams is seeking outside treatment. Nothing seems off. Adams plays preseason game 1. Nothing happens, people are more interested in Clarke’s time table. Adams doesn’t play any other preseason games, but that’s basically a non-story because there’s no need to put miles on him. Right before the regular season starts it’s suddenly announced Adams is getting surgery on his knee and will be out for the season. I believe we trade him before the deadline? Someone help me out here.
I’ve always thought a story will eventually come out around this whole thing.
As far as I can tell from a couple of articles, they tried a non-operative healing option for his PCL injury on Jan. 22nd, 2022 that made him miss the 2022 playoffs. They initially thought he would miss 3-5 weeks, but it lasted a long time, maybe because of the method they chose. Around the time right during that October 2022, they figured out it wasn’t going to heal on it’s own and had the surgery, ending that 2022-23 campaign immediately.
I never saw too much on it while it was happening, but I followed it some, he was on my FBB team. I also found this article/blog which may have been written for you.
Great timeline in that article, thanks for linking.
I think they just messed up the original diagnosis or were trying to avoid surgery. Nothing nefarious or anything.
Grizz gave us Adams for peanuts and Brooks for nothing.
Those were two of our most important players. Brooks was great for us and helped make the KD trade work. Now he’s great for Phoenix.
Seems like the Grizz tried to shake things up and go into win now mode. They didn’t want to wait for Adams to recover and sold low. We took on that contract during our rebuild and gave him all the time he needed and now he’s back to being a beast.
They had just given huge contracts to Ja and JJJ and had Bane’s contract coming up the next year, if I have my timetable correct. They had other money tied up in Smart and probably some other players. Not signing Brooks and trading Adams were basically money dumps.
I was a bit sad when the Thunder dumped him to the Pels for not much (Denver 1st, Kenrich and a couple of 2nds). He would have been a great bridge piece through the rebuild post-Chris Paul season.
The Rockets are a bad matchup for the Thunder I’m tellin yall
Be real dawg. Nobody is a bad matchup for the Thunder
Pacers with a healthy Hali
So a team that won’t even exist this season? Haha
Mavs with MJ Washington
It’s going to be a fun playoff series though
true
Adams OKC days
Why is there an HEB logo on the jazz floor
space city network digitally adds it in, it seems common with regional sports networks to do similar
I think those are digital/virtual overlays based on the viewer’s location. The person watching the stream was likely in Texas.
I was shocked and thought “damn I didn’t know HEB had a store in Utah” lol
Who is in the running for the most likable player in the league except him ? Wemby and Jokic ? Maybe Conley or Haliburton?
I dont think jok is up there tbh, many people hate his nonchalent style
If you “hate” Jokic, you’re not a fan of basketball.
I understand sneering in his general direction because he routinely guts your favorite team, but to hate someone…that goes beyond the court.
Probably just some salty fans, no one cares about them. As a human, he’s very likable
Wemby?!
Does Wemby even have a personality?
So far he just seems really quiet and mature for his age. I respect it.
Boban
Anyone who misses FT intentionally to get the fans free food is a man of the people and awesome lol.
Hasn’t been in the league for more than 3 years now (and basically DNIP’d his entire final season)
Haliburton?!
I don’t see Luka catching many strays?
Boban and Steven Adams are the 2 most likeable guys in the NBA.
Seeing them in a highlight reel make me smile.
We had them both back to back
I think they were technically on the team at the same time, but Adams was still recovering from his injury.
With the caveat of only one of them actually being in the NBA.
So glad to see him flourishing! Love him.
THAT’S MY KIWI
I miss you kiwi dude
This is what I used to dream about when he was a Thunder.
Get that s***t outta here
Man’s jam
I like how the coaches reacted to that dunk. Lots of times coaches are stone faced even on big plays
Aquaman just pulling off this crazy shit. Steven should use his toughness like this more often.
I love the rockets man. Just doing their thing. Fun to see basketball re evolving
Showing off lmao
Nice recognition by Durant to get Adams the ball and complete the double.
that is some fantastic commentary
Im biased but I think we have some great announcers. They have great chemistry.
Hell yea
Im so glad the rockets picked him up
AQUMAAANNN
LFG MATE! 💪
props to Durant for feeding the big man after that sick ass defensive play.
i think that’s a real veteran move. he could have easily pulled up for a jumper, but he knew that he had to reward Steven Adams for that nasty block
I never thought about how the Rockets’ trade for Durant is a longtime OKC reunion between him and Adams until this clip. Pretty sick connection.
I’m a simple man, I see Steven Adams highlights and I upvote
GOAT
Does he have a nickname?
Tons of them, lol. Have you never heard him called Aquaman?
is he from New Zealand
Let’s go big kiwi
I had to take a second and see what HEB isn’t in Utah and realized that it was done by the Houston TV station that put it on the floor on TV.
Im convinced he doesnt do that often cause hes too nice.
I love this guy
My favorite non-Wolves player
Love Adams. There is still a huge mural of him in OKC, and no one has felt the need to paint over it or deface it.
These announcers have the same energy as the Scott Sterling soccer shootout guys.
goaltending

It’s only a tech if the player “deliberately gains or maintains height” which Adams didn’t do. His hand accidentally touched the net and had no effect on his height. It’s clearer in the replay that he isn’t lifting himself.
