I know Giannis has been out. A team should have a roster built to withstand their best player missing some time and not drop 6 in a row.

By “while having” i meant as part of the roster. Not necessarily available for those games. Do I expect the team to win more than 50% when he’s out… maybe not, but dropping a bunch in a row is crazy.

Giannis and KPJ are really the only two guys who were able to consistently create their own shots last year. Bobby’s capable in stretches and Ryan is really coming along but still.

To be fair it’s not all about top level talent to build a good roster. The Bucks have like 8 guys averaging double digit points. The Bucks could be good with KPJ as the second best player IF the team was built better, the roster construction is just shit as well. If they replaced Kuzma and GTJ for more versatile wings like DFS and Royce O’Neil for example, the Bucks would be miles better.

They have done so many dumb things. Firing Bud was dumb. Trading Jrue was dumb. He wasn’t the problem. They should have traded Middleton and a boatload of picks and had a trio of Giannis, Player X, and Jrue. Or hell traded Middleton and picks for someone like Norm Powell or Brandon Ingram, and then some other guys and picks for another upgrade. Then they could have had like 4 quality guys with Giannis and Jrue being two of them.

Winning a chip at 26 and then doing pretty much nothing the rest of his prime is insane.
